intjsherlocked chapter 32 . 12/23/2018 Wow. WOW WOW WOW WOW! During that last chapter, I was so impressed by your characterization of all of the characters - I could totally envision this actually happening in canon! You truly have a gift for writing and I'm so glad that you shared this incredible story online for us to read. I binged this story and loved every minute of it, from the magic lessons to the battle with Voldemort, Nimueh, the trio, and Merlin. This story deserves millions of favorites, because it was absolutely amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing my favorite crossover ever! |

Koala789 chapter 32 . 1/5/2018 *jaw drops* Holy MCFRIGGIN mcGandhi this was amazing! If I wasn't half asleep and sick I would totally type out a huge review, but I'm afraid I'll fall asleep in the middle of doing so at this rate. I'll admit (for once) I cried when reading this. For multiple reasons. It was POSITIVELY beautiful, and I'll always treasure it... It surprised me, saddened me, and made me rejoice like any good story (that a lot, fic or canon alike, fail to do) should. If my head wasn't pounding, maybe I could think of a decent word to describe this story, but for now I'll settle with amazing, even if that doesn't do it justice. I'm excited to read the sequel, if I'm not totally out for the count because of stupid germs. My friend who recommended this fic said that the sequel isn't finished, so I sincerely hope it will be finished soon. Because my poor, sore throat can't afford to go through me screaming in frustration at a cliffie, as you obviously love to do. (As a fellow author, I can't say that I blame you.) Loved the chance for redemption given to Morgana, and I hope that will be shown more in the sequel. Thank you so much for writing this, it was truly fantastic. Until next time! Koala789 out! *sails away on a flying-boat-fortress-thingy with Wi-Fi* |
Honyasbookshelf2017 chapter 32 . 10/12/2017 Emachinescat is a wonderful author, and I love everything I’ve read of hers. Having said that, I think The Most Deadly Alliance is one of my favorites. The premise and all the interlocking pieces of time travel and legend are just fascinating. But even more than that, the little choices of the timing within each story, the characters to involve, the details that are drawn in–it’s all expertly executed. I loved how well thought out the character interactions were. The people involved behaved in character, even when it made them clash or seem abrasive. And the people who should have hit it off with each other did so. There were even instances where character interactions caused changing points of view. (Arthur’s interactions with Hermione and his changing views because of that, notably, although Harry’s relationship with Morgana is also a great case in point. Actually, the development between Harry and Morgana may have been one of my favorite parts of the story, which kind of surprised me.) All of that was just crafted in a very credible and in-character way that I truly enjoyed greatly. Additionally, the larger-scale story was interesting–the tension and mystery, the complications of time travel, the flaws in Voldemort and Nimue’s alliance, all of it worked well and was fun to read. The writing style itself was also quite excellent, being fluid and natural and easy to read. On a technical side, there were a couple of chapters where chunks of text were transposed into the wrong place (like, into the middle of another paragraph or even into the middle of a sentence), making the reader have to sort through what is supposed to go where. But it’s all there if you’re willing to figure it out, and it’s only in a few places–probably a tech issue in the editing or uploading process. If not for that, I would have given The Most Deadly Alliance a whole 5 of 5 rating, but as-is, it’s still a new favorite of mine that I would highly recommend. |
Guest chapter 6 . 7/2/2017 Aww, someone's jeeeaaalllouusss! *winks at ron* |
SisterOfAnElvenWannabe chapter 33 . 7/3/2016 Yikes! This should be interesting! |
SisterOfAnElvenWannabe chapter 32 . 7/3/2016 I forgot to say last chapter - I love that the Sorting Hat told Merlin not to worry about the future, because he makes so many mistakes because he's trying to change what he's seen... I love the interacting between Arthur and Merlin! Arthur hugged Merlin! And I love that you ended it with "all was well." |
SisterOfAnElvenWannabe chapter 31 . 7/3/2016 I really liked this chapter! I enjoy head-spinny time travel stuff. And I loved the hat's comment (and the fact that you mentioned Merlin and Hermione getting together, haha )). |
