From; "Possesed by a Memory" by Animegoil "...“Well, it was great forgetting it all for one night at least...” he said, heaving a sigh as he got up. Walking along the dark halls, he made his way up once again to the tall tower facing the castle gates. Suddenly, he bumped into one of the few people he’d ever thought to find there. From; "Zunächst Nach Tag" by: GalacticHitchhiker42 "..."Did you have fun?" Roy asked in a low voice from his spot besides Edward. Yugi just smiled, closed his eyes, and took his last breath. He didn’t have to say a word. That smile told me everything. He had heard me, and without telling me, I knew he felt the same. Sometimes I look back and think I didn’t say enough, that there was so much more that needed to be said. But I know that’s not true. I said everything I needed to say..." - chapter 5... Saying Goodbye From "A Day For All Eternity" by RalphiereRedux "... The light was slowly fading as they lay in silence. Words they were never lacking. Yami pulled him into his strong arms, wrapping himself around his lover, once again savoring the feel of their bare flesh joined together. “I love you, Yami.” Yugi’s voice was filled with sorrow, unable to hold back his despair. “And I you. Never forget what we had, let it be part of you. But, you need to live your life and stop holding out for me. We had our day, and it’s almost past, never to return.” Yugi lifted his head off Yami’s chest. Yami’s heart broke for the tears he saw coursing down his light’s cheek. “Promise me now! You’ll move on, or all this would’ve been for nothing!” Yugi nodded in agreement. “I promise…I will have no regrets.” Yugi managed a small smile, “Thank you for giving me such a gift-“ A sob escaped his throat and fresh tears ran down his cheek. Yami reached out a finger to catch a tear and stifled a moan of despair as his finger passed right through. The sun had set; their time was done. He could no longer hold Yugi as his body was racked with sobs but was once again a spirit: powerful…and helpless..." - one shot From: "Misunderstandings" by Aku-Hitokiri-Kitsune "...Yugi's POV From: "Oh, Danny's Boy" by Curley Green "Instead I found a man—an old man with graying hair who putters around the house talking to himself when no one else will listen. I was joking once, asked him if he was talking to Tuttle. He looked at me for a moment as if I had said something wrong and then announced to me, his expression entirely serious, that Tuttle had died. I wasn't sure how to respond to that." - one shot From: "Couldn’t" by Robin Gills "BJ snatched the instrument away in an instant and tossed it across the room as if had bit him. Hawkeye heard BJ’s voice shouting words, but he couldn’t recognize them. His world tilted and his brain registered that he was falling. But BJ’s arms came around him and held him. He felt the warm arms embrace him. He felt something wet on his temple and hair. BJ was crying. He hadn’t meant to make BJ cry, he really didn’t. He heard other voices in the background and he thought he heard Potter, but before he succumbed to the darkness all he heard was BJ’s soft sad voice whispering into his ear. “I love you, Hawkeye. Don’t die, don’t leave me. I love you. I love you...” " - one shot From "Loud Noises" by Robin Gills "Peg snagged the blanket from underneath them and picked up Erin. The two men were already heading toward the parking lot quickly. BJ was practically carrying his friend. Peg and Erin followed at a slower pace. When Peg came into view of the car she could see Hawkeye sitting in the back, car door open, facing out. His knees were drawn up, and he had his face in his hands, hiding it from view. As she walked up, Peg could tell that he was shaking. BJ crouched in front of him, half resting on the open door and his other half on Hawkeye. BJ’s forehead leaned on one of Hawkeye’s knees, his arms on either side of Hawkeye’s legs, disappearing into the car. Hawkeye dropped a hand down to BJ’s hair, fisting into it. Making sure BJ was there. As Peg drew closer she could hear sobs emitting from the trembling man. Closer still, and she could hear BJ’s whispering to his friend. The two seemed to be unaware of the girls’ presence as they stood on the opposite side of the car. Erin asked her why uncle was crying. What could she say? “I guess uncle Hawkeye doesn’t like fireworks very much.” " - one shot From: "Just a Peek" by TVJunkie1013 " “BJ? Hawkeye? Sirs?” Radar’s eyes widened when he saw the two of them rolling apart. They were shirtless and their pants were down. It was dark in the tent, but there was no way to mistake what had just happened. “Shit!” BJ cursed and turned away from the corporal. He jerked his pants up and grabbed his t-shirt, yanking it down over his head. Hawkeye pulled his boxers up as well, though he moved much more slowly and he made no attempt to find his shirt or pants. “Oh, gosh,” Radar averted his eyes and turned to leave. “I’m really, uh, sorry, sirs. I’ll come back later.” “No, it’s okay. You can stay.” Hawkeye glanced over at the now-pacing BJ, then he stood. He wandered over to Radar and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Really, it’s okay. Right, Beej?” BJ stopped pacing and dropped down onto his cot. He cast a sidelong glance at Hawkeye, who just nodded reassuringly. “Yeah, it’s okay.” “Sit down,” Hawkeye said with a smile, gesturing at the crappy wooden chair between the beds. Radar shrugged, but sat. Hawkeye walked over to the still table, filled three glasses and passed them around. “We’ll have a drink and talk.” “Okay, if you say so.” Silence, uncomfortable and tense, filled the Swamp. It was as thick as molasses. BJ and Hawkeye exchanged nervous looks and moved their eyes to Radar. He was sitting in his chair ramrod straight, gaze fixed on the floor, hands anxiously rubbing the side of his glass. When it felt as if all three would suffocate, BJ finally spoke. “Radar,” he paused, running his fingers through his sweat-dampened hair. “What you just saw …” “It’s okay, sir. You don’t have to explain. I already know.” " - chapter 2... Chapter Two From: "Games We Play" by TVJunkie1013 " “You’re not really in love with Charles…” He pauses momentarily and glances over at me. “Are you?” One corner of my lips curls into a lopsided grin. BJ does this every time we play our little game. “No, Beej. I’m not in love with Charles.” I open my eyes fully and smile widely at him. “You know who I’m in love with, so would you stop being so paranoid.” " -one shot From: "The Naked Truth"by Amphioxous Obnoxious " Kirk smiled. A new drink was in his hand for each of them. "The anthropologists didn't tell us everything about this place, so it seems," he explained. "Turns out their superstitions don't end at medicine. They have a very strong cultural belief that the only way you can truly trust a person's words is if they remove their clothing. The idea is that they're showing you their inner honesty, or something to that effect." "You mean--" McCoy's jaw dropped. "They agreed to it." Kirk grinned. "The inoculation, the public education--everything." Spock blinked. "Fascinating." "They'll be able to wipe out the plague and continue their normal existence--all thanks to you, Bones." Kirk smiled and clapped McCoy on the back proudly. "I... only wish I'd known about this earlier! I would have just met with them myself, without my uniform." "Sounds like it'd be right up your alley," McCoy smirked. He rocked back and forward on the balls of his feet. "You're the big hero, Bones. Think you can bear to show your face in there? Dinner's waiting." Kirk led them back into the chamber. McCoy looked proud, but Spock looked even prouder--although he knew that everything that had occurred had been a preposterous accident. He still had no idea how the picture had been saved to the data chip... but he decided not to look a gift lematya in the mouth." - one shot. From: "Aw, Hell" by: Nemo the Everbeing " Spock, after a second’s hesitation, sat in the chair next to McCoy’s. “I must point out, Doctor, that curing me will be impossible without a cure.” “That was some incredible logic, Spock. Did you think of that all by yourself?” Spock lifted an eyebrow at the human. “I take it by your response that you do not have a cure.” " - one shot From: "Yellow, White, Blue, and Black" by:SharkGirl "Alfeegi went second, as the White Dragon Officer and Chief Secretary. Unclenching his hands from his side were they had fisted, he placed them both on his door. They shook. His fingers, long and thin, were stained with ink from all the paperwork. Whispering the beginning of the spell he felt the crystal warm his chest slowly leaching his way his fear. When he was calmer, he started the other half of the spell. To his spell, he gave his fear. He feared those things that set his small, organized world on its head, and destroyed what order he had made of things. He gave the thoughts of stacks of paperwork, documents, and forms, each one documenting the death of someone by the hands of Nadil’s Army and the cold feeling he always got when he reach them that made his hands clench. He gave the memory of a demon bearing down on him, teeth glittering in the sunlight, running itself further onto his sword just to get at him, the fear that had frozen his limbs in place and rendered him helpless. The pain of the wound as it swiped at him once, before dieing. He poured it all into him, until there was no more. When he was walked out of the hallway, his face was dead white; he looked smaller, frailer, and paler than ever and had to be guided to a chair before his legs gave out on him... ...The Officers made their slow way back to their rooms to sleep after the spell casting was done. Alfeegi had already fallen asleep, being the smallest and weakest of the Officers, with his head on Kai-stern’s shoulder, the other Officer almost asleep himself." - one shot From: "Good Friends, Secret Lovers and Bitter Exes" by: Aurora0628 " “I’m this close…” She made a gesture with her thumb and forefinger. “…To driving my knee between his thighs just to find out if he’s as insensitive as he looks.” Shayera laughed, despite the situation. “I wouldn’t go that far…I mean, you may have use of that area yet.” She glared at the Thanagarian as they turned a corner. “Besides…don’t you know that they wear something to protect their…manhood from such situations?” “Shayera, really…I don’t need to hear--”” “John told me that once…that they wear something inside to…” Shayera suddenly paused at her building mirth. “Seriously…Anyway, to prove my point, have you ever seen a male member of the league suddenly falling down on his knees holding both his hands to the family jewels?” She thought for a while. Come to think of it…she could not recall any incident of that happening. “See.” Shayera looked at her smugly. “The only males who do not wear it are Superman and J’onn.” “Kal because he’s the man of steel,” she concluded as they stopped by the door of the laboratory. “Which means…balls of steel.” She could not help but laugh at Shayera’s statement. “And J’onn…well because his form can change easily, he’s pretty malleable,” Shayera winked. “Get it, mallea…BALL.” She was holding a hand to her mouth now to prevent the guffaws from escaping as Shining Knight and Vigilante passed by, offering a greeting. She stepped immediately inside the room and let go of her mirth. “So…it’s safe to assume that there are only two who are the…real deal.” “More…or less,” Shayera managed between bouts of the snickers. “And the others are just…artificially enhanced.” “It’s part of the uniform, I mean…they won’t be as intimidating to the opponent without that much bulge down there.” She could just picture it. And it made her laugh even harder. " - chapter 10... Mother's Day note from Vix: so, as you may have noticed, i tend to make Alfeegi very small, frail, weak, and fragil. that, and a tenor. i like this view of him, i think it suits him, mainly because i am a very masculine woman, and prefer to have someone not so masculine. that, and i like how tenors sound. being an alto, this isn't surprising. thank you Sharkgirl and Old Fiat for beliveing in small little Alfeegi! much love! |
