What to say about myself...hmmm...I was once just one of those thousands of readers with no account on this site. I wrote fan fictions for myself alone and a few of my closest friends. I read the stories on this very site for years and years always vowing that one day I would actually post my own stories. I realized that in high school that I wanted to write and then went to college to get a BA degree in Writing. I worked as a receptionist, and still do mind you, but I realized that I was not utilizing my skills at all just typing away on a screen for my own personal and professional enjoyment. I wanted to share my stories with the world on a site where I knew they would actually be appreciated and read.

So, after tons of pep talks and encouragements from friends I finally posted some of the many stories I had gathering space on my computer's hard drive, the several thumb drives I carry around with me at all times, and the thousands upon thousands of notebooks cluttering my bedroom.

A word of advice to those of you who want to write and post, but don't want to put yourself out there: JUST DO IT! Don't let anyone tell you it's pointless. Don't let anyone say that your writing is not worth it because IT IS. Words are power and they can transport people to worlds and places they may or may not experience in the real world. You can transport fans of fandoms to the many worlds they love. There is nothing better than knowing that you are making someone's day.

I have learned that writing is my outlet when I'm stressed or upset. It allows me to put a piece of myself out there that even my some of my friends and family never get to see because I don't express it to them. So do yourself and the world a favor: WRITE!
