Hello, all! I'm Momma Duck. I've loved writing for as long as I can remember and don't plan on stopping any time soon, though I've been pretty distracted with personal issues and general life stuff lately and don't post as frequently as I used to. I do make an effort to write something every day, even if it's trash, but I'm picky about what gets published on here. I'm pretty neurotic and prone to perfectionism when it comes to creative pursuits, but I've been actively combatting that mindset because it's been stunting my writing BIG TIME. Now, I'm mainly focused on practicing discipline or, if necessary, letting things be.

This story is required reading for Sparia fans. It seriously helped me understand Spencer and Aria better and influenced how I write them. She gets into their heads so well that it's more accurate than actual canon. It's the ultimate character study and I've read it several thousand times. GO NOW.

Random Facts About Me:

-My username (Momma Duck) refers to the nickname I had in middle and high school marching band. I played the trombone (I wasn't good by any means, but loved it with all my heart).

-Blue eyes, sandy brown hair that's kind of auburn-ish sometimes. I've got some big-ass feet for a woman, and am the most string bean of string beans. Also I'm extremely near-sighted. I love the look of suspenders but am not nearly confident enough to wear them.

-Born and raised smack-dab in the middle of the Bible Belt, but I don't adhere to a religion just yet. Still gotta explore my options and untangle some shit, you see.

-I'm a gigantic lesbian.

-I am a Paragon Ravenclaw Pukwudgie from District 7 that studied at Beifong Metalbending Academy. My patronus is an irish wolfhound and I'm a Chaser for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Fight me. (Just kidding, you'll probably win.)

-Sun in Pisces, Moon in Taurus, and Leo Ascending. Wow, astrology.

-My preferred interior design style is romantic industrial. Google it, it's freaking lovely.

-I've always thought werewolves were the coolest of mythical beings.

-I can lick my elbow, hyper-extend my thumbs, and I used to be able to pop my right shoulder in and out of place at will.

-Biggest nuisances in my life: Plastic forks and crickets. No contest.

-I have a full-blown fear of crowds and basically black out when I'm in the middle of one.

-My lucky numbers are: 4, 7, 11, and 21. I use them when I need to decide important things like how many chicken nuggets to cook at a time.

-I'm too sarcastic for my own good and have a dark sense of humor. But I also have a soft spot for puns and dad jokes.

-I don't like to get obsessed with/ship actors and actresses because they're real people that deserve privacy, and I feel like a stalker if I even look up their favorite color or whatever. But the characters they portray are fair game and I often find myself engrossed in the psychology of fictional people.

-I mean, I think I'm a pretty chill person. Kinda awkward, but I have faith in humanity.

-On a more sensitive, personal note, after having hit rock bottom in the form of suicidal ideation amidst severe social anxiety and major depressive disorder, I can firmly say I'm an optimist. Even when I can't fathom how to move forward.

Current Uncompleted Projects:

Semi-Functional— This site needs more Arlex (Alexia), so here I am. When Alex defends Aria against a certain predatory English teacher, she's ordered to anger management. On top of that, she's suspended from school, she's trying to figure out her feelings for Aria, and her twin is acting strange. Hmm... Let's hope I can actually get this story past twenty chapters.

The Voice of the Rebellion— I started this Hunger Games story with zeal, very excited because it was my first on this site, but sort of lost it. I try to write, and sometimes chapters get done, but it's going slow. Basically, it's my trial and error fic. Obviously, I need to write the whole thing before I post.

Four Eyes and the Freak: The Chronicles of Sparia— Just an adorable fifth-grade Sparia one-shot starring a little, artsy outcast and a lanky nerd that become best friends in the face of the evil that is Alison DiLaurentis. Now a series. (ON HOLD)
