![]() Author has written 33 stories for Digimon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Tokyo Mew Mew, Shaman King, Code Lyoko, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Legend of Zelda, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Legend of the Legendary Heroes/伝説の勇者の伝説. About Me Name: I generally go by Bridgit on these vast, wide internets. Age: Physically, I'm 20 and a half. Socially, I'm a few years behind that. What I Write For: At the moment? Yu-Gi-Oh GX and The Legend of the Legendary Heroes. I have written other things, and maybe someday I will write other things, but for the moment, these two are where what little inspiration I have is at. Favorite Series: The Legend of the Legendary Heroes, Yu-Gi-Oh GX (mostly anime but I'm sort of familiar with the manga too), Fullmetal Alchemist (mostly the manga, though I respect the first anime too), Digimon (all, including Savers and Xros Wars), Star Driver, Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei, Shaman King, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, Code Lyoko, Haibane Renmei, Gakuen Alice, Tokyo Mew Mew, Freakazoid. Though, I'm not picky, and I find a lot of things interesting that aren't on this list. I'm also, incidentally, an avid fan of the Zelda and Pokemon video game series, as well as Okami and Warcraft. Favored Pairings: There isn't much that I won't read if it has a good plot, and honestly, even if it was the rarest, most awesome pairing in the world, if it was written badly, I wouldn't be obligated to like it. That said, when I write things that include hints at those kinds of more-than-friendship relationships, my preferences lean toward: GX: Manjoume and Asuka, Ryou and Yusuke; to a lesser extent, Judai and Yubel LoLH: Ryner and Sion, Ryner and Ferris When it comes to duels in my GX stories, I admittedly try to avoid writing them whenever it's possible for me to do so, though I will write them when needed (and spend an insane amount of time perfecting them when they are). I don't play the game in real life and therefore have only a very basic grasp of the mechanics of the game itself, as compared to the characters who go to school for the sole purpose of perfecting their technique. Also, even if I was an expert at the game, honestly, a duel written out in words isn't nearly as interesting as one that's animated, because the animated duel has all of the holographic monsters and dramatic pointing and tones of voice and animated spell effects and dramatic pointing. As for what genres I write... Well, I attempt humor. I attempt angst. I attempt satire. I attempt grand epic multi-chapter things that rarely if ever actually get anywhere. If I get a good idea, I see where it goes. The one thing I can think of that you will never, ever see me write ever is anything sexual or M-rated. The furthest I will ever go is maybe a kiss. I don't expect people to review my stories - heck, I rarely do myself, because I rarely have anything to say. If I get a favorite, that makes me feel happy. And heck, even seeing that the view count increased makes me happy that someone was interested enough to look at my work. But I'm very grateful for every review I do receive, even though I rarely if ever respond to them. And I'd be happy to accept as harsh criticism as you'd like to give, as long as it's pointing out actual flaws with my work instead of just telling me it sucks without explaining why. All criticism will be taken, thought over, and incorporated as best I can into future work. Current Projects - as of March 27, 2011 Heaven's Charge (GX): The rewrite of Lost Heaven. Due to a change in the way Darkness works, Fubuki dies shortly after returning from the Seven Stars, and Asuka is forced by her parents to leave Duel Academy because of it. She returns for a week's visit about a year later, but gets caught up in the shenanigans of the Hikari no Kessha. Current estimates put it at about fifteen to twenty chapters. For Good (GX): Due to a change in Yusuke's reasoning for seeking Darkness, he winds up wandering the alternate dimensions for a few years instead of sleeping in non-existence. Then, he returns at the start of season four, and that whole thing gets rewritten and extended. I don't know how long it will wind up except that it'll be very long. I Hold Your Hand In Mine (LOLH): A silly little one-shot that starts out with Ryner sleeping in Sion's bed. Inspired by an episode of Amagami SS (thank you anime club!). Flowers [working title] (LOLH): For the 7_suns community on Livejournal. Seven semi-connected one-shots about Arua and Kuku's friendship. (Though, Iris seems to be popping up everywhere in the planning stages too...) Ideas that are still only in the bare-bones development stages Rebirth [working title] (LOLH): Won't actually be worked on until after the novels end and I know how everything ends, and even then depending I may discard this idea entirely, but. To be as vague as possible, everyone reincarnates into modern college life, and as they start to become aware of their past lives, something conspires to attempt to force history to repeat itself. Psychic [working title] (GX): In which Manjoume mysteriously gains telekinesis powers from dueling Judai so much, and has to get help from Saiou in order to control it. Obviously, this can't end well. Not sure how long it'll be. Excessive Pride 2.0 [working title] (Fullmetal Alchemist): A rewrite of Excessive Pride, kind of. Mrs. Bradley didn't have the ability to protect her son from the car that day, so Selim Bradley was forced to disappear from the public eye. Then Maes Hughes learned too much, so rather than kill him and draw attention to things, the homunculi grant him a fate worse than death. Obviously chaptered, but I'm not sure how long it would end up. Also, you know how Pasquinade got a prequel, Pastiche? I've got a few ideas for more satire where they came from... possibly including a crossover... But anyway. You didn't come here to read my profile, you came here to read my stories. So, without further comment, I hope you enjoy my work. |
