Warning: Spoilers from chapter 54+ in the manga!

He didn't enjoy this, not one little bit. He was a sin, not some lovesick puppy, for God's sake! He didn't want that weak human side of his to be as strong as it was. He didn't want the fool's love towards his old guardian to be so strong as to actually be able over power him, a greedy sin, and show affected towards her. He didn't want his aging vessel of a body to be so weak as to submit to such trivial things as love and attraction (Ok, so maybe not attraction. But love defiantly.) Greed didn't want the little emperor boy to be his downfall.

But…

But every time that name was mentioned… Ran Fan… Or the sight of those dark eyes, he lost control over to human boy and was subjected to sit in the background and watch the teen gush over the woman he adored. Than after time, Ling would slowly mesh back into a recessive state where Greed could than again take control and do whatever he wanted again.

Sometimes he was quite annoyed with the wannabe emperor, but in the end (even if he loathed to think so…) he was somewhat attached (and not just literally either) to him.

And that Ran Fan girl was pretty hot, even with a missing arm…
