Bruh I'm crying so hard right now I can't.
I'm 12 years late to this fanfic, since I only just recently rewatched the 2003 series, but out of ALL the fanfics I've read for FMA, this one has to be the best. I can't believe the amount of raw emotion and story that was packed into 15 chapters, and the ending was heartbreaking but satisfying at the same time. This is probably the only fanfic I've read that's made me legitimately contemplate something and cry while doing it.

Personally this is why I like Brotherhood's version of Edward better. Despite being hell-bent on stopping the Homunculus, he still has enough heart to understand them and even being willing to coop like he did with Greed, even becoming despaired when he died.

I would have liked to see H!Ed live and try to coop with Edward and the others tbh.

Found this on TVtropes for recommended fanfics to read in the Fma fandom. Was not disappointed. I felt sad that honmunculeus ed had to perish, but it fits the story well. GOOD READ!

I liked the story. And it seems like you predicted some events from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood somehow - Al's reunion with Ed for a moment resembled Winry's reunion with the boys at the end and Mustang's blind rage after Homunculus Ed's attack on Havoc was a little similar to the one directed at Envy for killing Hughes. So, uh, good job, however you did this :)
The only part I didn't really enjoy was most the final fight Homunculi vs Humans. The pacing seemed a little bit off imo. Like when you had Al say he had to help Ed but before we saw him get to them we had a long fight, which gave the illusion of Al taking a tad bit long to get there. Other than that, it's a really cool story with a good, bittersweet ending.
A pity the epilogue never made it to but it's okay. Now that the story's complete everyone can easily come up with their own epilogue :3
Oh, and I appreciate the fact you based the fic on the Japanese dub, not English - the Hagane reference, the title Sensei etc. It's rare on this site but 100% welcome as far as I'm concerned.

So, I didn't know about the double meaning of Hagane, so the irony was lost on me and that's great! Thanks for the tidbit, also the scene between Al and H Ed was so sad and good. Love your writing and this story, the rotating PoVs are so appreciated!

Okay this is actually amazing! Perfectly in character. Exactly how I'd imagine all the characters would react to a situation like this. I'm locked in with the suspence. I don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight till I finish it lol

This is intriguing so far. I've never actually come across a 2003 fic that used tucker as a plot tool. I never even thought about what must have happened to him after the series ended. Very intriguing indeed.

I loved this! Everything was so well written and the idea was so original! Homunculus! Ed broke my heart but I understand why it had to end that way.

I'm not sure about this, but if some twisted bastard tried to bring my dear ones back and managed to create a monster instead, I'll be furious and kill the bastard and then kill the monster. I won't care if that being is alive or not. It's certainly not my loved one and its presence is a disgrace to my loved one and his/her death. Just my opinion though! The story it's wonderful and I loved it soooo much!

What? No epilogue? Come on...you just gotta make one..it was really good. I wanna know what happened after.

An epilogue would have been nice but at least the story is officially finished. The ending was sad but satisfying. Great job. I enjoyed every chapter ;)
