In 'His Last Vow' there was a big amount of off-screen suffering. So here is a collection of scenes that I missed in the episode. There are intense moments of handling physical pain and mental agony, as well as a lot of H/C, doctor!John, hurt!Sherlock and unwelcome medication in Sherlock's sytem.

John finds Sherlock using again and decides to help the man the only way he knows how...whether Sherlock likes it or not. Doesn't reference the new special until Ch. 35.

John finds out that Sherlock is bipolar and forces him to get help. A story about the insane roller coaster which is bipolar disorder. A lot of mention of depression, suicidal thoughts and self harm.

One night, while John is away, Sherlock gets drunk and texts him so they can have that heart to heart they've been meaning (avoiding) to have. Also, John's girlfriend looks an awful lot like Sherlock...what's up with that? - Rated for mild language, that's all. It's a bit of pining and angst with a happy ending.

Sherlock relapses and John is there to try and save him but can he save himself? Lots of angst and some case solving. little bit of Johnlock fluff in later chapters. Rated T for drug use and strong language.

Rated T just to be safe. This involves all of the recurring characters, there just wasn't room for them all in the 'characters' section.

With Sherlock dead, John eventually (under duress) makes a profile on an online dating site. And falls into a long-distance relationship with an enigmatic partner who reminds him of Sherlock in all the right ways. (Hint: it turns out to be Sherlock.) Updated in real time!

Sherlock suffers amnesia and John is there to piece together the great mind to its original form and goes through all the hardships to do just that. While helping Sherlock regain his memories, he fabricates some of his own to give Sherlock memories he never had.

When Sherlock has the urge to use drugs again, John tells Sherlock that he needs to find a substitute. Once John slips out about the saying, hugs not drugs, they hug and Sherlock discovers that he likes the hugs. John on the other hand, does like them but begins to contemplate his friendship with Sherlock. Sherlock wants more hugs while John is trying to sort out his thoughts.

It's Sherlock 40th birthday, but he doesn't want anyone to know. Not even John. JOHNLOCK
