![]() Author has written 2 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog. ME Aloha bruh. Name: Eh, just call me Venus. :) -I write whenever I can find the time but most importantly, the motivation! It can be difficult most times to sit down and write with a smooth and inspirational flow so if I absolutely cannot bring myself to do so, I don't force it. Rushed and forced works can produce poor quality and I'd rather give readers the best I'm capable of at the moment rather than sloppy, half-assed work just for the sake of getting chapters out there– which is why it can sometimes take a while for me to update! Haha. I've been way less active on here but that doesn't mean I'm abandoning ship! Writing will always have a special place in my life so I shall share with all who are willing to read while I can. :) MY STORIES If you plan on reading/read my stories, here's a little overview: I'll give you a sketch of some content you are most likely going to find/not find in my stories (upcoming/updated) Cursing- Sorry, can't resist. It's adds that little 'UNF' to it. Attitude, basically. Like I guarantee you, with the shit these characters go through and have to put up with while playing heroes and villains, canon or not, they are just bound to slip some colorful words loose. The only thing stopping them is the PG ratings. Except for Shadow and Espio lol they dgaf. OOCness- Alright before someone gets all riled up, here's my ideology for OOC: I'm not talking about extreme OOCness; As long as it seems logical, there's no need for shit to get twisted into a knot and complain about it or point it out to me (cause I'm fully aware of it). Some people purposely portray characters in a certain manner to suit the story, and like it that way so it is in fact not a flaw. Sure the characters were not created by them but the story is, hence FANfiction (woah, shocking). If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to read it. You can hop off that train anytime you want, or just don't board it at all if it really irks you. It's acceptable, everyone has their own taste, so no need to put down someone else's. Chances of you coming across OCs/FCs are low since I'm not particularly a fan of them and like to stick to the original cast, or a character that officially has been created by Sega or Archie. Exceptions are made to fill in some spaces, who either act as extras or are temporary appearances. Not all, but I believe most of my stories will be rated M just because I like to keep my options open and not limit the story/writing to anything. It doesn't mean you'll always come across explicit content though. I also provide warnings before the chapter.I guess that's it unless something comes up. My stories are purely something out of my creative ability– and that's something you can't detract from anyone. Whether if it's of your taste or not, you can't take away somebody's opportunity to let their artistry run wild and offer it to others. That is my purpose to this website, and certainly to thousands of others. Typing up my mental agility, and appreciating others'. "Never make fun of someone's passions because that's the thing that saves them from the world." (A/N): [This is me bashing my own first fic. Enjoy.] Don't Leave Me Hangin' is under crucial reconstruction cause I just absolutely loath my 2012 writing and the overall content in the starting chapters. Bluntly speaking, everything about it. The foundation and build up was terribly weak, rushed through and dry and the characters majorly lacked profundity in both personality and relationships to one another. Tones, moods, settings, conveyances of the characters' affiliation statuses was all jumbled and sloppy, confusing many readers which I 100% take blame for now. I didn't see it before, but with a help of a dear friend I realized how biased I could be in writing certain pairs, giving them (for example, Shadow and Amy) more meaningful interactions and significance than the main pair being written about (Sonic and Amy). I don't know how it got so much attention but it did and although I personally hate the story because of the cliché high school love triangle thing going on that I so naively thought was an original when I was new to the fandom (what the fuck right? Lmao), miraculously many seemed to enjoy it and although I am super, ever-appreciative of that, I can't stand it one bit so it's being revamped for anyone who wants to venture back into it once more and for any fella who comes across it in the future (I pity thee tbh)– I'm trying my best here to save them of the numerous eye rolls and facepalming extravaganzas I suffered when rereading this trash. All I could think of was constructing a time machine just so I could go back and slap myself for producing such atrocious, confused literary work. And yeah sure I was a new, fetus writer but c'mon. This was just bad even for a beginner. :p TL;DR: DLMH is a revolting shitpiece of work and is being rewritten cause damn it really fucking needs to be. :) Never Letting Go I personally believe has shown an improvement tremendously in writing from when I first put pencil to paper of this series. I'm more satisfied with the presentment of tones, moods, and specifics to make it more portraiture but there's always room to improve. Content wise, although a continuation of the overdone plot, it has strayed from high school drama shit naturally, but regarding everything else that has occurred so far... I'm leaving it to the readers to criticize if they so wish. That includes dialogue, scenarios, interactions, transitions and the like. As a developing and growing writer taking this stuff more passionately while I have the time, I have become my own worst critic like many, so if no one's gonna point out the numerous flaws the first story was overflowing with, I'LL GLADLY DO IT BEFORE ANYONE GETS THE CHANCE TO- HAHA! Stick around to see if you like. *Salutes off* If you would like feedback on anything you've written and would like someone to look over it, I'd be more than happy to help! Much love and appreciation for any faves/follows/reviews! :) o O º('·.('·. .·').·')º O o *Thank You For Coming!* o O º(.·'(.·' '·.)'·.)º O o |
