![]() Author has written 24 stories for Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and Walking Dead. Check out my new story The Masks We Wear. It started out as a Wonkyward contest entry and tied for first place public vote and won second place judges' choice. The lovely Caroline from Ficsisters wrote an awesome piece for it in their Variety is the Spice of Reading post. You can read it here. Banner made by Claudia T. from Phantasy Graphic. *NOTE: My writing ability and style has changed a great deal since I started on this journey. I don’t have the time to go back and rewrite my stories, so I apologize in advance for the mistakes in early chapters and one-shots. As you read on, I think you’ll notice the change in my writing. For a sample of the way I write today, you might want to take a look at the latest chapter of one of my WIPs. I admit to cringing when I read some of what I wrote in the past, but I’ve made the decision to leave my early work up on my profile untouched. For those willing to go on this journey with me, I thank you. *My policy on anonymous reviews: I only allow anonymous reviews that aren't inflammatory--my prerogative. If you have something mean to say, own your words and stand behind them instead of cowering behind anonymity. I Want it Painted Black is now complete! I have a poll up to see what outtakes my readers would like to read. Cast your vote! I Saw You Coming is now complete. *For updates on my original fiction projects or to read some of my original work, you can go to my website I apologize profusely for the slow updates on my stories. I have a lot going on personally and professionally and don't want to offer false promises. My promise to my loyal, wonderful readers is to complete each and every story I've started and update as often as I'm able. While it may take some time to complete them, every story will be finished. Thank you all for the patience and support you've shown me over the years. To those who get upset with me and demand updates, please remember that I don't get paid to write fanfiction; I do this because I love it and also have original fiction to write, a full time job, and a family. Broken Windows was voted #4 in the Top Ten Completed Fics for April 2013 on TwiFanfictionRecs. Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to vote for my story! I've started a blog where I'll be posting all my stories, special outtakes and news about all the projects I'm involved in. Due to the fact that I'm having issues dealing with multiple sites, I thought it would be wise to have everything of mine all in one place. If you're interested in keeping track of me, that would be the place to go! "I Saw You Coming" has been featured as a recommended fic on The Edge Girls blog. You can read the post here: http:///2010/06/june-ff-rec-i-saw-you-coming-by.html Many thanks to Kris (kejce) and Marie (Jtrs98) who are so friendly and had such nice things to say about my writing. *blush* Check out their blog! There are lots of fic recommendations to whet your appetite. Recently, I have started writing my own original fiction, apart from the fandom, which is why my updates may not be coming out as often as some of you may like. I am still very much into my Twilight fics; I just wanted to let my readers know where things stand right now. I refuse to post a chapter just to 'get something out there,' and my chapters tend to be fairly long, as well. I know I might lose some readers that are impatient for updates, but as the author, I have to be true to my stories, characters and the vision of what I want to portray. I profusely thank those of you who have encouraged me to branch off and write my own original fiction, and those of you who loyally wait for my updates, giving me such nice reviews to keep me going. If anyone has questions or concerns, feel free to send me a message--I don't bite...much. AWARDS/NOMS: Red Kryptonite won third place in the Energizer WIP Awards in the "Most Promising Twilight Fanfiction Canon" category. Thank you to whoever nom'd my story and to those who voted! My one-shot 'In the Wings' won Best Romance and Best Bella/Edward in The Single Shot Awards! Wow! Thank you so much to whoever took the time to nominate me and a special thanks to the angels who voted! Also, the awesome Angelward banner that Betti Gefecht made me for 'I Want It Painted Black' was nom'd for best banner! In a twist of irony (because I'm Team Sparkle all the way...) 'I Saw You Coming' made it into the final round of the Inspired Fanfic Awards for Best Jacob Under 2000 Reviews. Thank you so much to all of you that voted for MY version of the Space Heater! Mwah! 'I Saw You Coming' was nom'd for a Golden Lemon Award for Best Makeout... for the dry hump scene after Edward marks Bella. 'I Want It Painted Black' and its characters have been nom'd in some categories of the Walk of Fame Awards! Wow, thanks to whoever nom'd me! 'I Saw You Coming' has also been nom'd for the Coven Empress Award for best vampire centered fic. And, finally, someone nom'd me for a Rising Starlet award. Aw... shucks. "I Saw You Coming" won a Fanny Award for best story in the category "Twilight Saga Fan Fiction". Thanks to those who nominated and supported my story! You can see my lace covered fanny here (hehe): FANNY AWARD One of my lovely readers, BellaFlan, nominated "I Saw You Coming" for an Indie Twific Award. Another anonymous reader nominated "For Without You, I Would Be Nothing". Can I just say that I am so honored that someone thought enough of my stories to nominate them? My stories did not make it to the final round of the Indies, but I just wanted to say how incredibly honored I am to have been nominated. I have such awesome readers; I don't need an award to figure that one out! The wonderful reviews, messages and encouragement I have received with regard to my writing melts my heart. Most of all, I am having so much fun writing, and I'm thrilled that so many of you appreciate my efforts. Come join us at the FreeWriters One-Shot Contest group! Fanfiction.net profile page: http://www.fanfiction.ws/u/2455894/ FreeWriters One-Shot Contest Page: http:///group/freewritersoneshotcontests FreeWriters and Readers Site: http:/// Questions? Feel free to drop me a line! About me: Are you STILL reading this? Really? Well, okay. I'm a wife and mother completely obsessed with all things Twilight. I kept hearing about Twilight, so I decided to check it out, starting the most serious infatuation ever. I am Team Edward all the way! I must admit to having a HUGE crush on Rob Pattinson as Edward. I'm addicted to reading fanfic and have found some of the most talented writers ever through this site. While reading the Twilight Saga, I admit that I neglected cooking, my husband, housework and let my kid watch too many toons. (insert red face) I am a bit recovered now, but I still spend waaaaaay too much time dreaming about sparkly vampires—well one sparkly vampire. :-) In October 2009, another author that I admire, invited me to a one shot contest group. Since I've always dreamed of being an author, I thought, 'What the hell?' and decided to write a one shot. That started off my addiction to writing, and here I am, several stories/one shots later. Constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated. I would like to think that my writing has improved since I started and will continue to do so. Just a side note. I started off as a reader and I always review for the authors. I felt that they were taking the time to entertain me, and putting a lot of passion into their craft, so it was the least I could do. Now that I am on the other end as a writer, I believe it even more. It's nice to see alerts and favorites added, so you know your story is being read, but it's also important to know what others think of it. Is it awful, good, okay, great, fantastic? What could make it better? I just want to encourage everyone to review for their authors. Check out my favorite authors/stories for some seriously talented writers and awe inspiring stories. *Please note that I have not read every story in my faves list; some of them I marked for possible future reading. In other words...don't shoot the messenger! LOL. Click here to read my interview at Dazzy's Writer/Reader Intimate Lounge on FFFW! | |||||||
