You know that girl? You know that girl that's really odd and you always pass without thinking? That girl that might have her nose stuck in a book one day when you pass by, but the next day she's dancing to imaginary music on a picnic table? The one that you know her name, but you don't know her? The one that is either as quiet as a mouse, or the loudest one in the room? The one that's really nice and polite usually, but is the scariest sight you've ever seen when her temper is unleashed? The one that falls up stairs and walks into doors that are being held open for her? That weird one that asked a zillion questions as a header to her profile? You know that girl? Yeah, that's me.
Welcome to my profile.

The Name
I go by Sidney. Have since I was born. Some people call me other things, but I'd just like to be called Sidney. Also, please don't call me Sid, or I fear I WILL go insane.
The Gender
Female, girl, chica, lady... You get the picture.
The Relationship Status
You're kidding me, right? At this point in my life, all the boys I know act about four, so I'm currently very single with no plans to change that anytime soon.
The Birthday
December 13th, no year sharing for Sidney. Old enough to legally be on this site, young enough to be punished by my parents.
The Ethnicity
Okay, be prepared: Danish, Cherokee, Irish, Scottish, Creek, English. I'm a southern girl through and through, though.
The Appearance
Short, pale, blue eyed, and blonde. Mommy calls me Hitler's perfet child, and I hate it.
Strange but True facts about me
I'm a soprano singer in my school's chamber choir, and I'm a Soprano I section leader.
My lucky number is 13.
I love cars more than most girls do.
I have a postcard collection, a butterfly collection, and I've started collecting owls as well.
I love butterflies.
I can play flute (badly), piano (okayish), and guitar (suckishly).
I have a purity ring that I keep on my keychain, and I've also never been kissed.
I have an unnatural obsession with my hair, and I despise bottle blondes.
I'm picky about everything; literature, music, entertainment, people, food, everything.
My best friend is a lunatic, and is my polar opposite in some ways, my twin in others.
My first crush was on Tarzan, the cartoon (yes, I am aware that's insane).
I'm terrified of spiders, heights, water, boats, needles, roller coasters, and some people I know.
I'm an intellegent girl with the curiosity of a toddler and the attention span of a goldfish.
I like to write things that make me emotional, and I'm not nearly as brave as my characters.
I tend to sing to myself constantly.
I dream about the weirdest people and things.
I don't cry very often, and I feel weak when I do.
I respect men that cry more than I respect men that hide their emotions.
I beleive in equal rights for all, and I thank my mother and father for raising me to not understand discrimination. We all bleed red when cut, we all have bones that bend and break, and we're all beautiful in our own ways.
I love my family and friends, but I'm shy and making friends hasn't always been my strong suit. I trust easily, but betray my trust and you'll have to fight to earn it back.
I'm a Christian and proud of it!!
I don't mind flames, really, but at least be classy about it. Don't go insulting people without giving reason. Listing what's wrong and not giving ideas for improvement isn't exactly fair. If you're going to say your right about something, provide examples and don't just openly insult.
Also, I know I tend to have short, choppy chapters on occasion, but that's how my mind works, so don't insult me. I won't fight you if you flame me, because honestly, when I go back and look, most of the time the flamers are correct. It's all point of view. Everyone is different, and people need to not be so easily offended.
And to the stuff you're actually curious about...
I LOVE reading. Like, LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Read:
Harry Potters - an all time favorite
Twilights - though more for entertainment than for the literary aspect
Percy Jacksons
Heroes of Olympuses - I've become addicted to Rick Riordan's work with the Greek and Roman mythology
1-800-WHERE-ARE-YOUs
Mediators
How to be Popular
Princess Diaries Series - most anything by Meg Cabot is a surefire hit
Old Magic - it's a really good read
What My Mother Doesn't Know
What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know - this is more of a freestyle poetry type and requires some patience to read for some people
Boys Next Door
Endless Summer - these are really good books that I love because they're based in the south and the south has my heart in ever aspect (except music at times, as I don't like country music, and the stereotypes people have about it)
13 Reasons Why - prepare to cry/get chills
Artichoke's Heart - amazing coming of age novel that's also based in the south (though that's not why I love it)
Project 17 - truly terrifying. but an amazing read
Bleed - really intense; not for the faint of heart
The Lily Dale series - if you like any kind of fantasy, read this.
The Color Purple - intense, and probably meant for older and more mature readers
The Scarlet Letter - a classic

Percy: You'd probably kick my butt.
Annabeth: You know I'd kick your butt.
Percy: When I was at the River Styx, turning invulnerable... Nico said I had to concentrate on one thing that kept me anchored to the world, that made me want to stay mortal.
Annabeth: Yeah?
Percy: Then up on Olympus, when they wanted to make me a god and stuff, I kept thinking-
Annabeth: Oh, you so wanted to.
Percy: Well, maybe a little. But I didn't, because I thought - I didn't want things to stay the same for eternity, because things could always get better. And I was thinking...
Annabeth: Anyone in particular? (soft, trying not to smile)
Percy: You're laughing at me.
Annabeth: I am not!
Percy: You are so not making this easy.
Annabeth: (laughs, puts hands around Percy's neck) I am never, ever going to make things easy for you, Seaweed Brain. Get used to it. (kisses Percy)

(Mediator: Reuinion)
Grover: That's us, those five little nuts right there.

Mrs. Vader: Lori, why don't you take a few hours off? You should go outside and watch the boys.
Lori: I don't want to go outside and watch the boys.
Mrs. Vader: (folds arms) Go outside anyway.
Lori: (folds arms) I don't want to go outside.
Mrs. Vader: Well, I don't want you to work.
Lori: I want to work.
Mrs. Vader: You're fired!
Lori: All right! (throws keys down. Leaves for a moment, comes back.)
Mrs. Vader: (hands her Adam's roses, trying not to laugh)
Tammy: Are you really fired?
Lori: Of course not, she fires me about once a week in the summer...
(Boys Next Door)
Lori: How do I get back inside?
Adam: (calms himself down) You are mine, and you are blonde, and I love you, but damn. You get back inside by using your key.
Lori: What key?
Adam: The house key you put in your pocket before you jump out your window.
Lori: I need to work on this disobedience thing, because I am not good at it.
(Endless Summer)

Nick: What are you talking about?
Tess: I need to see her.
Nick: Who?
Tess: Zoe.
Nick: Sweetie, no. You're dreaming. Go back...
Tess: I didn't bring a picture of Zoe. I need to see a picture of Zoe.
Nick: Oh, a picture. Okay. We'll get it in the morning.
Tess: No, Daddy. I need to see it now.
Nick: Now?
Tess: Right now.
Nick: We'll take the truck.
(Dear Zoe)

I'm an active beta, always in the mood for work! I like talking about writing and ideas and just random things, so PM me if you want.
For the most part, you can disregard my favorite authors and stories lists on the bottom. Most of those are from two years ago or more, and I'm just not patient enough to co through and weed out the ones that still fit. If you want a suggestion on what to read, PM me, or look at the author links in this profile.
*Okay, challenge time. I've been writing up a storm, and I just can't decide what to write. I'm challenging you, my faithful readers, to give me something to write about. Give me a couple of people, a random line, and a genre (if the story is a romance, please no slash). I'll take it, give you credit for your line, and write a one-shot for it. PM me with your suggestion. I'll try to write everyone's, and -of course- dedicate it to you! Thanks!! ~Sidney*
