My pen-name is Liara-Shadowsong (formerly Kawaii Chibi Shun, but I updated it to match what I go by on the rest of the internet, please feel free to shorten to Liara or Lia). I am a non-physician medical professional in Ohio, and have been a member since I was a college student (ten years or so ago!). I both draw and write as hobbies, and also sometimes dabble in crocheting and jewelry-making. And ... that's all the personal information you're getting from my profile, folks, sorry.

I've been reading on this site for a very long time, but only write intermittently. I can't promise you professional-grade writing (I'm a scientist, not a novelist, haha), but I will do my best to make my work enjoyable to read. Your opinions on my writing, especially any constructive criticism, are very much appreciated, though I'd appreciate it if you feel the need to say my fic sucks to tell me why and how to improve, please, not just flame me. Feel free to drop me a PM any time if you'd like, even if it's not strictly about a fanfic, such as if you want to find me on another site I belong to such as AO3, Tumblr, or Dreamwidth (I no longer have a Livejournal account). My work schedule is a bit on the unusual side, so when I do have a story in progress the updates may show up a little sporadically, sorry.

Please note that my two D.Gray-Man stories, "Fourteen" and "Wish", are a two-part series. There likely will not be a third part, but that may change. I strongly suggest reading "Fourteen" first, as it is earlier chronologically, and is also a much better piece of writing in my personal opinion.

My only technically incomplete story on this site at the moment is "Fox's Wings". It is a Naruto fanfic, and is the multi-chapter sequel to my first posted story, "Fox Angel". Also taking place earlier in the same loosely-defined series (it definitely stands alone and is not a formal prequel) is my finished story "Sea Serpent". Between the length of time since I've written this story and everything that's apparently happened in canon since I stopped following it properly, I honestly don't know if there will ever be more of this one... and if there is, it'd be a few more chapters only with an open-ended finish.

My current icon? Drawn by yours truly. I also have more pieces on DeviantArt, although only a handful are uploaded right now, because... I don't even know, Reasons or something. In the meantime, I have created covers for some of my existing stories, and may produce more in the future.

At one time, I had plans in the works for a fairly expansive alternate DC universe, but most of the information got lost when I purged then deleted my LiveJournal after their server relocation. It basically boiled down to swapping the sex and gender of about a third to a half of the DC characters from the pre-reboot main universe, and seeing what happens from there (I might still do something with it, if only because that universe's Tim Drake would have been a lot of fun to play with). Other ideas currently on the back burner include things for the Marvel movieverse (not comicverse, sorry), a couple anime series I really like even if I'm not still particularly active in their fandoms, this one Zelda plot bunny from about five years ago, and a couple of crossover ideas that probably only make sense to other people who have been around the block enough times to remember when the fandom term for smut was "lemon".
