Poll: My first ever poll! How exciting (I hope I do get some replies). I am considering using Nanowrimo to pull down one of my unfinished, half-abandoned multichapter fics from years ago and rewrite it from scratch. Alternatively, I may take the time to develop other stories within those universes. Which of these options would you most like to read? (I don't promise to go with the result but I do promise to take it into consideration). Vote Now!

Author has written 39 stories for Swallows and Amazons series, Anne of Green Gables series, Chronicles of Narnia, Emma, Little Women, Lord of the Rings, Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, Peanuts, Beano, Simpsons, Misc. Books, Bones, and Big Bang Theory. They alone were my childhood friends- My bookshelves heave with my childhood friends- Eighteen, but I still meet my childhood friends- I'd struggle to go without childhood friends- EstellaB 2008 What to say? -I love Jesus with all my heart & I try to worship Him in everything, writing included. He has completely turned my life around :D -I keep giving up fanfiction forever, in order to focus on my studies, spend more time outside, etc etc. About once a year, I have a blitz of my PC, deleting every chapter for every story I've ever written. Inevitably, I regret it, but it seems to be an unshakeable habit. I apologise for the delays this always causes. -My "OTP" (silly term) of any fandom, ever ever ever, is John/Nancy from Swallows and Amazons, and if I had a hundred years I couldn't for the life of me explain why. -My favourite authors include, but are not limited to: Jasper Fforde, C.S. Lewis, Tolkein, P.G. Wodehouse, Jerome K. Jerome, Keats, Arthur Ransome, and Edna Ferber. -It's always worth watching reruns of Gilmore Girls and the Simpsons. -Nurse and PhD student here; I have rather less time to write than is my preference, these days, but I still love my characters and come and play here as often as I can. -Oh, one more thing? Plot isn't really my strong point. If you click on my "stories", they'll probably contain an abundance of semi-colons, several minor characters sharing one too many cups of tea, and some wry turns of phrase, but as for explosions, or anything actually happening? You're better off elsewhere. ;) A/N 15.6.2013: You guys, I deleted a whole load of my stories. I'm sorry. The thing is, I wrote very many of them when I was sixteen, and quite a few of them had their roots when I was much younger than that, and it turns out that what a 16-year-old girl who's read approximately all of the novels and a 23-year-old woman who has experienced approximately several of the emotions think is romantic and realistic is terribly different. I read through my back catalogue and honestly, I slightly wanted to spork myself in the eye. For what it's worth, having gone through a bit more of life than I had previously will probably make me a better writer, and some of the things I've written more recently are somewhat less corny, so I've left them up :) I've got plans for new stories, as well. If anybody particularly misses any of my stories, I downloaded them before deleting them and I'm happy to send you a copy of the document if you just PM me (as long as it is not republished under your name). A few more of them will be undergoing significant editing (Twin Roses, for example, was one of my pet stories once upon a time, and the idea is still much-beloved; I just think that the execution could do with a little tweaking). Stories that may disappear for a while include 'Beautiful', 'Simple Summer's Day', and 'In The Firelight'; you may download them in their current form if you especially desire that, although I would ask that you don't archive or publish them anywhere without my permission. Thanks :) EstellaB 24.2.14 |
