I like your stories because they aren't a rushed oneshot with a mini plot and unbelievable circumstances. They are glimpses into thoughts and feelings, describing an idea-an abstract. Thank you for writing, and keep up the good work

I've just trawled through pretty much every Dickon/Mary story on this site (the powers of procrastination know no bounds), including a few my one of my very favourite authours of all, and this single, solitary story is abolutely, and completely, my favourite one of all. Primarily because of these two lines-

She’s a kindred spirit to him – almost as if she and he were the same person. He wouldn’t be surprised if they were.

That's just an amazing, amazing statement, and descibes how I think about Dickon and Mary entirely. Thanks so much for writing it!

A lovely, sweet little fic on a book that's been hideously overlooked. I haven't read it in a while, but I think Dicken is right about her, at last in the end. There ought to be more on this book. I'd do it, but I haven't really gotten any plotbunnies yet.
