Knight or no, title or no title, Eustace served Aslan, therefore, he is, now and forever, a true Narnian, and that is enough. Jill probably wouldn't like it if she heard you (though that is hardly possible) thinking of her as 'old Pole', Eustace... Hmm, "of it." You might wanna change that to an 'H' instead of a 'W' there. He may not be the High King, but that doesn't make him any less great, for he is more than "a secret knight with a queasy stomach". True, he felt more than bothered during this whole last battle-thing, but he'd more than come through in the end; for whatever fear came, for him and Jill? Totally valid, hello! :) "Better to die for Narnia than live without Aslan." Let that be our one and only true motto for life! Haha! In the stable, Eustace bowed, acted like Tirian the first time. The lowest of servants? More than that... King Eustace! That is much better!

I looove Puddleglum! :) And Eustace is so right about 'the thing' being worse in one's mind than in person. So true! The whole dentist thing? Too bad Jill did not get it; and he's right, if she or other people want - wish to be miserable, than they may go ahead and be so, it's their choice.

Oh, I really liked all three installments of this story. :-) I most especially liked how Eustace's experiences in Narnia taught him humility and faith. You really brought that out here, very, very well.

I liked chapter 1 the most, but the other chapters really worked out what being a knight meant in Eustace's case.

I say, I am glad that you added that little author's note about your use of "ass." I was just about to /not/ add the story to my favorites because of it, but I just so happened to scroll down a little...
