The knights, Arthur, and Merlin are told that in order for them to fulfill their destinies, they must truly understand and trust each other. A sorceress makes it so they all have a chance to listen to a song that describes each of them and their pasts and struggles. Set after season 4, reveal fic. Knights/Arthur/Merlin brotherly bonding. Morgana keeps pulling Merlin into alcoves for increasingly silly reasons. Becomes outright crack by the end. Not a Mergana fic.

Arthur has been acting strangely for weeks and Merlin can't figure out why.

Uther activates a device that repels magic, but Merlin's loyalty to Arthur knows no bounds. Set after season 1. Magic reveal.

"Arthur's eyes landed on his father. Pale. Cold. Dead… Gone. He inhaled sharply, and stopped right by the doors." In that moment of hesitation, Arthur heard something. Something that changed his view of his servant. Something that forever changed the way he treated his best friend. "I killed him."

A traitor revealed, a plan foiled, all seems to be - wait, what the -? Merlin is a five year old! What's a king to do? Especially when his crazy half sister is trying to take over Camelot - again!

Arthur overhears Merlin talking to Lancelot in the armory, and realizes that he doesn't know his manservant as well as he thought. Not a magic reveal. One-shot.

Merlin was mute around people he didn't trust, and Arthur supposed that was strange, but okay. Merlin never spoke around Arthur, and that was somewhat less okay. Merlin could use magic, and that… well, that one took a bit of reconciling. Reveal fic featuring mute!Merlin. Gen.

As requested by Cindy4651: Arthur knows, and deliberately disarms himself, standing far away from Merlin and his own weapons to put Merlin at ease, and tells Merlin he knows about his magic. Merlin is as pale as a sheet throughout most of this fic. Happy ending, more fluff than angst, and practically no whump whatsoever. Takes place after Arthur is King... yep thats about it

"The sorcerer had a trick up his sleeve - magical baubles that enveloped each of us in a sort of fantasy world, one where we were surrounded by love and happiness." When the shimmering barrier fell away, Arthur and the knights were instantly assaulted by the sound of Merlin's heartbroken sobbing and a maelstrom of wild magic.

Trapped in a winter storm, Merlin has nightmares about Arthur's reaction to his magic. Can they ever reconcile or will Arthur hunt him down and finish what he'd begun?

Merlin, we're in the face of more bandits than I can kill. Threaten them with sorcery, now!

"As tears soundlessly carved their way down his cheeks, he raised the blade. One quick jab. He'd done it hundreds of times before. So why were his hands shaking so hard he could barely keep hold of the knife? He closed his eyes, reminding himself it was for the kingdom's protection and Merlin's own good." No slash.

Arthur is given a choice: save Mordred and accept the Old Religion, or let Mordred die and uphold everything his father built. What if Arthur chose to accept magic back into his kingdom? This is my take on what might have happened if he'd chosen differently when the Disir presented the choice to him. Eventual reveal.

Merlin had had dreams of Arthur finding out the truth - or, rather, nightmares. He has probably imagined a hundred scenarios for what would happen. The how, the why, the aftermath... Somehow, it doesn't quite happen like he thought it would.

After a mysterious sorcerer saves Camelot by casting a powerful shield spell, Arthur is shocked to learn from Geoffrey the requirements to cast the shield are trust & brotherhood with the king of Camelot. And this leads to some startling revelations. AU one-shot set after Season 4.

Arthur finds out that Merlin has snuck off in the middle of the night. With his knights in tow, he sets off to drag his manservant's butt back to Camelot, unaware of the secrets he's about to stumble onto. Merlin/Freya (One-shot). Chpt 2: Little Truths (Side-story). Complete.

Merlin's fed up and Arthur accidentally de-aging himself to an eleven year old is the last straw. But Arthur as a child turns out to be a much more vulnerable prospect than Merlin could have imagined... (warning for past child abuse)

In an attempt to cheer his Court Sorcerer, Arthur learns of a deeply guarded secret Merlin has kept - something that, when revealed, spurs the young king of Camelot to search with all diligence to mend.

Or the five times Steve helped the Avengers with their nightmares, and the one time they helped him. He is always there to help them in the aftermath of their demons with soothing words, light jokes, and support. Little do they realize that he has demons as well, but no one to help him with them. Destiny is cruel, but especially to Merlin. In an attempt to ease his pain, and help them stop Morgana, destiny decides to show the Round Table each other's past hoping they'll find some meaning in it. Sorry, this is a bad explanation, but basically you get to see everyone as kids and it's fun and painful. Don't read if you're easily triggered.

When Morgana and Mordred fall, Arthur and Merlin expect their dreams of a peaceful kingdom of brotherhood to fall into place. However, prejudice and hatred die hard. When Merlin is forced to flee the kingdom for his life, he and Arthur are forced unto two different paths which take them in heartbreaking directions and leave them both emotionally scarred.

When Merlin goes missing, everyone is looking for him . . . and I do mean EVERYONE. Slight crack.

Arthur struggles to understand what goes on beneath the surface of his best friend when it is revealed that something is deeply bothering Merlin, something that makes him hurt so much inside that he thinks he may be better off dead.

"It's a long story." The smallest of smiles graced his mouth. She'd heard that particular statement from the doctor many times before, always with a smirk or a coy glance, as though he were sharing his own private joke. But this was different. This time, she would be at last let in on the joke. Spoilers for season finale. Hints of Morgan/Martinez.

He never planned to reveal his secret to her this way. But he had never expected to be without Abe either.

This is where he came back to life. This is where he fell in love with her over dead bodies and murder cases. And he hoped that this would be where their life together would begin.

After Merlin is captured by a sorcerer with twisted intentions, Arthur must venture after him. However, what he finds is more than just his friend in chains, but an entire new way of seeing him. Set after Season 5 episode 10 There is a continuation titled "Souls".

Before they swore their allegiance to Prince Arthur at the Round Table, their loyalty had already been earned by the servant at his right hand. From the POV of Lancelot, Gwaine, Percival, Guinevere, Gaius, and finally Merlin himself. **UPDATE** Upon request (though belatedly delivered) a second chapter has been added with Arthur's POV.

"Merlin tries not to think of her. In fact, sometimes, he tries to forget her, but then he realizes he'd rather remember how beautiful she was, even if it feels like a mace blow to the chest every time. A one shot in which Arthur begins to notice that Merlin has some special skills. Magic reveal! Some hurt Merlin but nothing really huge.

Season 4 Episode 1 and 2 Rewrite. With the Dorocha on the loose, Arthur and Merlin have to travel to the Isle of the Blessed to seal the veil. Unfortunately, Arthur realizes only the sacrifice of a magical life will seal the tear. Will Merlin make the ultimate sacrifice? Or will Camelot find someone else? Reveal fic.

Arthur sees Merlin using magic, but before he can react, Merlin runs back to Ealdor, where the villagers speculate about his return. Arthur must learn to accept Merlin's magic before he can drag his wayward warlock home. AU in which Camlann never occurred, and the Golden Age of Arthur occurs. Bromance, no slash. Two-Shot.

"It was not his destiny to die here, and all of Albion would be lost if he did." When Merlin is injured on a hunt, Arthur follows his advice and takes him to the Lake of Avalon to be healed by Freya. Secrets and prophecies are revealed, Merlin is angsty, Arthur is less oblivious and lovers are reunited. Merlin/Freya, Arthur/Gwen.

"Well then, sire, it seems like I'm not wanted here so I'll just leave then shall I?" he said and promptly teleported out of the throne room and out of his life in Camelot. After revealing his magic Merlin is forced to leave Camelot after the king sentenced him to death. Merlin decides to go on a road trip through Albion. Includes kidnapping and Freylin.

My takes on how Merlin could possibly REVEAL! Please review, request, prompt. Quite a lot of violence anticipated. A lot of blood, a lot of fear. Sometimes Arthur will forgive him. Sometimes he will not. Sometimes... people will die. Sometimes not. Prompt 10: the entire court is put under a spell and Merlin is confronted by a powerful young sorcerer...

This is my version of a reveal fic before the episode 11 when Merlin realizes that Kilgharrah is dying much faster then he thought and he goes to see him but the Knights follow him and learn a few interesting things about there friend

So did anyone else think this episode was the perfect time for a magic reveal? Because I did. Here's a story of how Arthur doesn't kill Uther and gets to keep his correct knowledge on magic. MAGIC REVEAL! (no duh I just said that). Also bromance, because that's my main diet when it comes to this show. AU in case you didn't pick up on that.

Sequel to On Shaky Ground! As an army of sorcerers marches on Camelot, Merlin scrambles to come up with a defense strategy. Arthur has had enough with the continual betrayal of people he knows and trusts, and just wants people to be honest with him for once. So in a fit of irriation, he goes and asks his Knights whether they've lied to him about anything. The problem was, he didn't expect them to answer him...

Very, very few people are allowed to hand things to Tony Stark. Steve has to fight to become one of them, and in the process, becomes something more.

Merlin gets wounded while saving Arthur and the king decides to help Gaius take care of Merlin. Arthur is startled when he sees the scars on his friend's chest and he doesn't understand that never had noticed. Update: 2nd chapter added.

AU 4x13. What if Arthur went after Merlin in the tunnels outside of Ealdor earlier? What would he think of the confrontation between him and Agravaine?
