Thank you so much for such a wonderful ending. I love that you'd kept it vague/generalized because it is more about reflection of the whole vs pointing out every instance where Merlin saves Arthur, etc. The reader can insert what they recall. I wish you well as you launch out with your dreams of your own universe if characters. 30 years ago I'd wished for that, but at this point I am satisfied to explore the mindscapes of others. As always, Merlin will still be waiting for you. Excelsior!

This was a beautiful chapter . Arthur saves Merlin, Merlin saves Arthur...it's like watching someone flip their metaphoric coin as it turns end over end with Arthur saving Merlin, the Merlin saving Arthur, spinning around after it hits the ground to finally stop on it's edge! In their improbable friendship.

I had wanted to review earlier, but find hard to do if chapters cliffhanger and I'm reading after an author may have finished reading. I can tell how your writing style has grown over the course of the story compared to say the first few chapters. It might be because this is the part everyone longs to read and focuses the most attention on. This is the anti-climax of your story arc. The climax being the death of the villain/rescue of the maiden (*ahem* Merlin) and now all the tying up of loose ends begins.

Anyways, I've greatly enjoyed the story and look forward to the ending and hope you've decided to keep Owyn's character in reserve for future stories. Keep writing

Okay so here's the thing. I actually started reading this when it first came out, but after a while I got busy and lost track of it and never finished it. So...well, I stayed up until 6 am (or later) three nights in a row literally reading this entire fic on my phone, and let me tell you, it's even better than I remembered it being. Like absolutely, mind-blowing, intricately, incredible. The story was amazing, but the writing was on point. I haven't really read fanfiction in a while (I'm ridiculously picky in terms of writing style) but this has plunged me headfirst back into Merlin again, and BOY did it make me scream, oh my god. I am absolutely in love with this work and thoroughly impressed with the length, good lord. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible story with us, and your talents. Also, I would give my left leg to protect Owyn from the world oml

I just reread the second half of this fic again, and I half to say that it's just as good as I remember it being! The first half is equally good, of course, I just didn't have time to reread the whole thing. But yeah, this fic is awesome, so don't forget that you're a great writer!

This story was by far one of the best Merlin stories I have ever read. It was absolutely fantastic and I loved how you wrote all the characters and you captured the setting and mood a beautifully.

I have got to say, for the entirety of this story I have felt as if I was a part of this journey. This story has brought me to tears and made me burst out laughing (much to the concern of my parents). Not only was the story very well written, but the character development throughout the story is what tied everything together. You are honestly an amazing writer and I think that you would be an amazing author should you choose to be. Keep writing, you are clearly gifted with words.

Best reveal fic ever. I never ever put this in a review. I am actually telling the truth. This is impressive. I like how you eased his hidden conflicts on magic and I like how he came to his own conclusions (no matter how slow Arthur was to finally understand :) which is completely canon obviously- we all love the man but we also all know about his thinking process lol. This was simply beautiful!

I was hoping Arthur would decide to try to surprise Barragh and ask "He's a sorccerer isn't he?" Or when Barragh said Merlin had magic Arthur would try to casually say "I know".

It'd be cool to see Merlin's reaction to both those.
