Obsidian Buterfly here. You can call me Obsidian or Nims but I also respond to the Mistress of Evil Authorial Deeds: lover of cliffhangers, angst, blood, torture and all the dramatic stuffs with bits of fluff and romance thrown in.

Real life is a cruel mistress so even though i would love nothing more than to write and finish all my WIPs asap, I'm actively working on two major fic: Lillies Upon our Graves and Burning Ambers Frigid Blues. I'm also working on the Full Circle series with Book II currently in progress and Book I undergoing a slight revamp to make it more compliant to what's happening in Book II but that's going super slow. Sadly all of my other incomplete stories are currently on an indefinite hiatus though i might put up summary chapters with plot points/summaries on where i'd been planning on taking the story towards.

About my writing style: I love AU's and am not shy of using OCs if i can't find a canon character to fulfill the role I require so you will find a lot of both in my writing. I do try to stay away from creating Mary Sue's so the OCs have believable character traits with their own set of challenges and difficulties to overcome (if the OC is a main character)

My philosophy for writing AU's is that so long as the character actually fits in with the set parameters of that universe, they can be a little different from their canon self without being OOC. For example, if Fai is not a wizard and was never born a twin, he wouldn't exactly be doing things to bring back his brother. But that doesn't mean he wont have the tendency to blame himself for stuff that goes wrong but his self-destructive tendencies might be a little less pronounced. It all depends on the circumstances surrounding how and where they grew up. The past is what shapes a character's present after all.

CLAMP are my idols. Those women certainly know how to come up with mind-screwing twisted plots so don't be surprised if you find some complicated twists in my stories. Though I do try to tone down the twistiness to a level that can actually be understood by the readers. (Anyone know what really happened at the end of TRC? xD ) Foreshadowing is awesome so keep an eye out for that when you read my stuff. Take a guess at what will happen next because that is really fun too. It doesn't matter if you make a wrong guess, I still love to hear about it.
