-July 14th- I'm back from vacation, as you can probably tell from the update to Blue Instead of Green, and I have a dozen more completed prompts/chapters (including the last chapter (chapter four) of Blue Instead of Green and the next chapter of Tri-Wizard Asgardian) to upload. I will be uploading one a day until I run out.

I'm currently having trouble uploading new stories to Fanfiction.net, so the new stories will only be posted to my livejournal and archive of our own until whatever's going on has been fixed. Links to both can be found below.

-September 17th- I am still having trouble uploading new stories to Fanfiction.net (not even getting a new computer helped), and have sent yet another email to Fanfiction.net support. Hopefully this time they will get back to me. So new stories will still only be posted to my livejournal and archive of our own.

Name: I. H. Scribe

Age: No idea. Lost track after I turned old enough to drink.

Gender: Totally not a dude.

Please feel free to point out misspellings or grammar mistakes, but no flaming. Flames will be deleted.

If you’re PMing me and it’s not a prompt, please say so in the subject, so I can get to your message easier.

Though all stories are marked complete, they may have extra parts added to them in the future, so please favorite or put on alert any stories you like.

Accepting Prompts

As always, accepting prompts, and writing at least 100 words, but rarely up to 2000 for them. Please follow the guidelines below when requesting a prompt. Requesting a prompt does not guarantee that I will fill it. I also regularly prompt myself, so don't be surprised to see my penname after Prompt Made By in posted stories.

If you wish to make a prompt and don't have a Fanfiction.net account, but you have a livejournal one, please go to my livejournal:

It's kept up to date, but updated after Fanfiction.net

While not accepting prompts on AO3 at this time, I am posting most of my works there: /users/IHScribe/pseuds/IHScribe

While also not accepting prompts on TtH at this time, I am posting my Buffyverse works there: /authors.php?no=26029&list=profile

Guidelines for Making A Prompt

(1) Please, use a PM to make your prompt. I do not accept prompts through reviews to other stories. If I see a prompt in a review, I will either ignore it or reply back with this:

As always, I am accepting prompts, however, I am not accepting prompts through reviews. If you wish to give me a prompt, please see the Accepting Prompts section of my profile for instructions. Thank you.

I. H. Scribe

You may have noticed it at the bottom of every story I have posted. The only exception is anonymous reviews or another part of a story.

(2) In the PM, I need three things:

(a) Up to three characters, four if necessary for your prompt, but please try to stick to three or less. Fandoms and characters I am familiar with will be posted below. Try to use first and last names if possible. For example, Anthony DiNozzo or Tony DiNozzo instead of just Tony, or Fred Weasley and George Weasley instead of just Fred and George.

(a.2) Groups of four or more characters (For example Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Scooby Gang, The Losers as a whole, or The Avengers) can be used in place of two characters.

(a.3) If Character 1 from Fandom A and Character 2 from Fandom B are the same person in your prompt, they only count as one character in your prompt.

(a.4) If one of your characters is an OC, please leave a detailed description, and I will try and write him/her. If you don’t leave a detailed description for an OC, I will ignore that character, or the prompt altogether. Her hair is brown, and her eyes are blue, and she likes Tony is not a detailed description, and will likely lead to your prompt being ignored.

(b) The fandom each character is from. For example, Castiel is from Supernatural, Dumbledore is from Harry Potter, Angel/us is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel.

(c) Your prompt.

Your prompt can be as little as a single word, but nothing longer than three sentences or fifty words, whichever is longer, please. Slash is acceptable, as are het and gen prompts. Feel free to make more than one prompt, whether each is in it's own universe or all of them are in the same one.

Your prompt cannot be anything not allowed by the site. No smut or citrus of any kind, sorry (but I can imply something happened if it is necessary for your prompt). Also, please no RPF (Real Person Fic) requests.

If you’d like, you can use this form:

Character 1: Name (Fandom)

Character 2: Name (Fandom)

Character 3: Name (Fandom)

Prompt Details:

Please use the following example prompts as guidelines.

Example Prompt Request 1

Dean Winchester (Supernatural), Delores Umbridge (Harry Potter)

Death to the pink.

– This one is actually pretty clear. Prompt filled under the title Death to the PINK.

Example Prompt Request 2

Poison Ivy – Batman, Luna Lovegood – Harry Potter

Bonding over plants and Neville Longbottom

– Also mostly clear, though I may get a bit confused if Harry Potter isn’t written as Harry Potter Series instead, and think of him as a character instead. Prompt filled under the title Bonding.

Example Prompt Request 3

Tony NCIS, Tara BtVS, Darcy Thor Movie

Siblings

– Less clear, but I get the meaning. I might PM for clarification. Prompt filled under the title A Few Inches Makes All the Difference.

Example Prompt Request 4

Bobby, James, Ducky, Angel

drinking buddies

– Not clear at all. I will definitely be PMing you back for clarification. If I don’t hear from you, I will ignore the prompt, or pick whichever characters that fit from whichever fandoms I want. For the record, it’s Bobby Singer (Supernatural), James Potter (Harry Potter Series), Ducky (NCIS), and Angel (BtVS/AtS). Prompt filled under the title Strange Drinking Buddies.

Example Prompt Request 5

Character 1: Danny Williams (Hawaii Five-0)

Character 2: Eleventh Doctor (Doctor Who)

Prompt: Danny is Amy and Rory’s grandson. Doctor goes for a trip to Hawaii.

– This one is very clear. I won’t need to PM you to clarify. Prompt filled under the title Williams Men are Built to Deal With Crazy.

Example Prompt Request 6

The Losers (Losers), Scooby Gang (Buffy)

Unknown family.

– This prompt is clear. I probably won’t need to PM you to clarify. Prompt filled under the title Family Picnic.

Explanation of comfort levels

Extremely Comfortable – Prompts with these series are likely to get top priority as I’m most comfortable writing them.

Very Comfortable – I will get to these prompts quickly, as I’m very comfortable with the characters.

Mildly Comfortable – I’m more than comfortable enough to write these characters.

Comfortable – I’m comfortable enough to write these characters.

Less than Comfortable – It’s not something I’m very comfortable with at all, but I can write it if I find the prompt interesting enough.

Not Comfortable – Prompts with these series are likely to get lowest priority, as I’m not as comfortable writing them as I am with other series. That said, if I couldn’t write them, they wouldn’t be listed. I’m likely to be very reluctant to write these series, unless the prompt interests me.

A

The Addams Family – I'm more comfortable with The Addams Family/Values movies than anything else. I'm very comfortable writing these characters.

Agents of SHIELD – I’ve been watching it, but right now, I’m comfortable writing these characters (except for Coulson who I’m very comfortable with).

Almost Human – I'm comfortable writing these characters

Angel the Series – I’ve seen most of the first season, and bits and pieces of the other four. I’m not as familiar with this one as I am with Buffy, but I do know the majority of the characters. I’m comfortable writing the main characters of this series.

Arrow – I’ve seen the first season of the TV series, but I didn’t manage to get through the first episode of the second season before I gave up on it. Prompts from the first season only please. Mildly comfortable writing these characters.

The A-Team – I’ve seen the movie, and most of the first two seasons. I’m comfortable writing the four members of the A-Team, but less than comfortable on the rest.

Avengers Movies – The Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. I’m very comfortable with the characters in this universe (but not the comics version).

B

Batman – I know the more well-known villains and characters, and if it concerns the Arkham Asylum/City games or the Nolanverse Movies, I’m good. I’m Mildly Comfortable with Arkham Asylum/City and the Nolanverse movies, and comfortable writing the more well-known characters outside of those.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer – I’ve seen all seven seasons, but only read a few of the season 8 comics. I’m very comfortable writing the characters of this series.

C

Captain America Movies – The ones with Chris Evans as Captain America. I’m extremely comfortable with the characters in this universe (but not the comics version).

Chronicles of Riddick Series – I haven’t seen the latest movie, or played the games, but am otherwise comfortable writing these characters.

Courage the Cowardly Dog - I'm mildly comfortable with the characters from this series.

Criminal Minds – I’ve seen the first few seasons, but haven’t kept up with the latest ones. If I don’t recognize your character, I’ll tell you. I’m mildly comfortable with the characters I do know.

D

Disney Animated Movies – While I’ve seen several of them, it’s probably best to PM before making your prompt to make sure I know which one’s your talking about.

Doctor Who – While I recognize most of the companions, and which Doctor(s) they travel with, I’m far more familiar with the new series. I’m extremely comfortable with Doctors 9-11 and their companions, and less than comfortable with Doctors 1-8 and their companions.

Down Periscope – One of my favorite movies. I’m comfortable writing the characters, but my knowledge of the Navy itself is limited.

Dragonball/Z – I’m mildly comfortable with most of these characters, but not with any of the GT ones.

E

None

F

Firefly – I’ve seen the movie Serenity, and most of the Firefly episodes (will be watching the rest soon, I promise). I’m comfortable writing the main characters.

The Following – I’ve seen the first season multiple times, and am very comfortable writing these characters.

G

Gargoyles – I’m comfortable writing the characters from the first two seasons, but not the third season, or the comics.

Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy – I have seen all of the episodes and most of the movies. I am very comfortable writing these characters.

Grimm – I’ve seen the first two seasons, and am impatiently awaiting the third. I’m mildly comfortable with these characters.

H

Hannibal – I’ve seen the first season. I am in the process of reading the books (it’s slow going), and have seen the movies. I’m very comfortable with the TV versions characters, but until I’m done with the books, I won’t accept prompts with characters from the other media.

Harry Potter Series – I’ve read all the books, and seen movies 1-5, 7.1, and 7.2. I’m extremely familiar with this series, and extremely comfortable writing its characters.

Hawaii Five-0 – The newer series. I have seen all of the first three seasons, and am currently watching the forth as it airs. I’m very comfortable writing this series’ characters

House – I’ve seen several episodes, mostly from the beginning seasons. I’m less than comfortable writing House, Wilson, the Ducklings, and Cuddy, and not comfortable at all with the other characters.

Hulk Movies – The Hulk and Incredible Hulk movies (with different actors than Avengers Bruce). I’m mildly comfortable with the characters in this universe (but not the comics version)

I

Intelligence – The CBS series. I've kept up so far. I'm midly comfortable writing these characters.

Iron Man Movies – The ones with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. I’m extremely comfortable with the characters in this universe (but not the comics version).

J

James Bond – I've seen the Brosnan and Craig movies, but only bits and pieces of the others. I'm mildly comfortable writing these characters.

Jurassic Park – I’ve read the books and seen the movies. I’m comfortable writing these characters.

K

None

L

Lord of the Rings – I’ve read the books (only the three Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit), but am more knowledgeable about the movie versions. I’m comfortable writing these characters.

Losers – I’ve seen the movie, and read the comics. I’m mildly comfortable writing these characters.

M

Magnificent Seven – I’ve seen all the episodes of the TV series, but not the movie (which doesn’t have the same characters anyway). Make sure to specify whether you want the Old West or the ATF AU. I’m mildly comfortable with these characters.

Marvel Cinematic Universe – I’m familiar with the movies, and the Shield TV show, but I haven’t read any of the tie in comics. Each movie I’m familiar with will be listed by itself. I’m very comfortable with the majority of the characters.

Merlin – The BBC series. I've seen every episode at least once. I'm mildly comfortable writing these characters.

The Munsters/Mockingbird Lane – I'm comfortable writing these characters.

N

Naruto – I haven’t been following the manga lately, nor have I seen the anime. I am mildly comfortable with characters introduced before Shippuden, and most of them until Tsunade finally wakes up after the Pein attack, but I’m not comfortable writing the others.

NCIS – I’ve seen the majority of the episodes (thank you USA reruns), and the JAG episodes NCIS started in, and am familiar with the main characters. I’m very comfortable writing these characters.

NCIS: LA – I’ve seen most of the episodes (very few with Dom), and am familiar with the most of the main characters. I’m mildly comfortable writing these characters.

O

None

P

Pirates of the Caribbean – I’ve seen the four movies, and am mildly comfortable writing the characters in this series.

Q

None

R

Rizzoli & Isles – I’ve seen most of the first two seasons, but am less than comfortable writing the characters.

S

Sailor Moon – I’m mildly comfortable writing these characters.

Sherlock – The BBC series. I’ve seen the first two seasons (all whopping six episodes), and have actually read a few of the books. I’m very comfortable with the characters from the TV series.

Sleepy Hollow – The new FOX show. I’m comfortable writing these characters so far.

Star Trek – I’m most familiar with the new Original Series reboot movies (Star Trek 2009 and Star Trek Into Darkness). For that universe, I am mildly comfortable writing the characters. I have not seen any TV series, except a few episodes of The Next Generation, or other movies. I am less than comfortable writing the characters of The Next Generation, though I can recognize most of the main characters, and am not comfortable with the characters of any of the other series, including The Original Series TV show.

Supernatural – I’ve seen seasons 1-4, most of seasons 5 and 8, and a few of seasons 6 and 7. I am very comfortable writing most of the characters in this series. (According to FF’s Supernatural category, the Impala counts as its own character, which I totally agree with. However, even if you list it as a character, it won’t count against the limit, leaving you still with up to three characters with an absolute max of four)

T

Thor Movies – The ones with Chris Hemsworth as Thor. I’m extremely comfortable with the characters in this universe (but not the comics version).

Transformers – I've seen a few of the cartoons, but am more familiar with the Bay movies. I'm comfortable writing these characters.

Torchwood – I have seen seasons 1, 3, and 4, and have a general idea of what happened in season 2. I'm very comfortable writing these characters.

Twilight Series – I can’t believe I’m putting this here (I tend to be Team Tyler’s Van when I’m not Team Shirtless Werewolves), but yes, Twilight. I’ve read the books (which is amazing, I think, as I don’t particularly like reading First Person POV), and seen the movies. I’m mildly comfortable writing the main characters (Bella, Charlie, Wolf Pack, Cullens), and less than comfortable with everyone else.

U

None

V

None

W

White Collar – I have seen every episode and am extremely familiar with the characters. I am very comfortable writing the characters in this universe.

X

X-Files – I have seen the first three seasons and am currently making my way through the fourth. I'm comfortable writing these characters.

X-Men – While I’m more familiar with the movies, I have seen several of the animated series and read a few of the comics. I’m mildly comfortable with the more well-known characters.

Z

Other Characters

Any DC or Marvel Characters not listed specifically, I’m likely not familiar with or comfortable enough to write. PM me with their name, and I’ll do a bit of research, before I get back to you with a yes I’ll try writing this character or a sorry, no, I don’t think I can write this character. I will, however, probably only do those characters once.

Anything else not listed, I’m probably not comfortable enough with to write the characters for. Sorry, but I won’t accept prompts outside the list (excluding DC/Marvel exceptions as described above).
