You know, I've never quite understood why Voldemort chose to try to kill the prophesied champion of the Light. I mean, if someone makes a prophecy that someone else is going to kill you, why do you try to kill them as the baby? Why don't you just steal them away from their home, raise them as your own child, raise them so that they come to love and respect you and are completely loyal to you, and then just set them on the world to do your bidding? Or, better yet, in this universe, since this exists, steal them away from their home, and give them the Draught of Living Death? That way, they would never wake up to BE a threat to you in the first place! Personally, I like my first idea better, because it let's you completely demoralize the Light by using their prophesied champion against them, but the second way has its merits too, I guess...

O.O... very dark but VERY good. not to mention I could see this happening if lily had lived but harry had died. ;-; *laughs shakily* honestly I'm more surprised that one: sirius wasn't more insane with her, considering what we heard about what happened halloween night in the third book. and two: that REMUS didn't join them... though I can understand what he didn't visit hearing about not only JAMES but HARRY too probably destroyed him... along with lily and james.

Well. Just goes to show- not only 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned', but you mess with a red-head, you get burned. Like, rampaging forest fire level.

its a good story, review everything you read. we are losing fanfiction writers because they give up and stop wanting to update when no one reviews. they wont tell you its because of lack of reviews that they stopped updating, but its often true

The only problem I really found in this was Lily calling a house-elf. While wizards are generally short-sighted about the amazing things house-elfs can do, I think Nippy would have made a suggestion that she could protect them, at the very least, by standing guard over Harry and apparating him away if there was ever any trouble.
