This Place Is An Illusion. Exactly what I have created it to be and exactly what I imagined.

I wander the hidden paths, where I can see everything but no one can see me unless I wish to be seen.

When I want it, a gentle rain falls down from the soft gray haze of the sky, warm and pure washing over my skin, making me reborn.

I tilt my head back and dance, barefoot twirling around and around my eyes closed tightly, arms spread wide and a delighted, childlike laugh rising from my throat.

I dance and I laugh. I sing and I laugh, twirling around and around until my thoughts swirl about to quickly for me to recognize.

But then I have to stop, because then I can hear the buzzing very faintly, that will swell and become voices, familar voices that form words.

That I do not want to hear.

So I stop, while the rain continues to beat it's steady rhythm against the green canopy above me and a wind picks up, shaking the tree's so that the droplets shatter to the ground and against me.

I like the wind though, unbound by the earth it whips about wildy and freely making tree's sway under it's fierceness and battering me.

I let it push and shove and beat at me, I let it tear my hair free and make it lash about my face as if it has a life of it's own.

A leaf, burdened by the many droplets of water that gathered along it's cusp and shaken by the wind twirled gently, down.

I cup my hand and allow the leaf to land in my palm, staring at the trembling dome of silver that shivers among the soft green.

"So fragile..." I whisper "To think, a simple flick of my wrist would...Oh, and there it goes. Oh well, was bound to happen."

I giggle again, this time for no apparant reason at all.

At least, not that anyone else could see.

But I see it.

This Place Is Exactly How I Want It To Be.

A Funhouse, hidden from the rest of the world.
