Wowza, it's been a LONG time.

Yes, in fact, I am still alive! Living and working in Washington, DC, now, which is NOT where I thought I'd end up a couple years ago (was actually planning a career in the military, but that fell through - in related news, you can get cold sores on your cornea. No one wants to find that out, though). My day job is a writer/editor (press and news releases for a Christian nonprofit), which is one reason I haven't written as much lately - I do a lot of it at work, it's kind of killed my muse. Working on resurrecting it, though - thanks, TMNT!

I don't write as much lately, but I'm trying to change that. I stick to gen fic (occasionally do canon pairings, but nothing explicit) and am a big fan of bromance, hurt/comfort, angst, and the lot, so that's the lens I use. You, of course, are bringing your own as you read my stories. Thank you for reading, by the way. That means a ton to me.

I'm on Tumblr now, if anyone's interested. I'm working on being more active there, though I mostly lurk. But drabbles and other things might show up there on occasion.

I'm still a Christian - God is faithful in spite of the fact that I am not, and I'm eternally grateful for that. So if you see lots of redemption themes in my work, well. It's just natural for me to want to share that at this point. (As always, if anyone ever wants to talk religious issues with me, feel free to PM me - I promise I'll try to respond much more quickly than two years (!!!) this time.)

Additionally, I still will never spring a deathfic on you. I am a fan of faux-deathfics, but if a main character actually dies, I will be sure to give you plenty of warning.

My love for music still burns strongly. I play the piano, and I have one of the most random music collections ever. I enjoy pretty much anything except hard rap and songs with lots of profanity.

Sad to say, those WIPs I started years (again, !!!) ago will likely stay forever that way. Life is just to short for me to try and resurrect them; if you're curious about how they turned out, PM me, and I can share some of my thoughts on where the plot was going (though you might also get an earful about those darn plot holes).

I'm cowriting a TMNT 2012 fic with Taisi: Devil took your hand: Michelangelo gets ambushed; the Shredder gets another chance to test his mind control serum. Surprisingly- unfortunately- it works better than anticipated.

Note about "Requiem" and "Vengeance" and any other WIPs: For those of you who have been patiently waiting for these stories, I apologize, but I'm afraid that it's extremely likely these will never be finished (I never say never anymore, but I think this is a pretty safe bet). Thank you all for your amazing support over the years - it wasn't you, it was me (my muse, really). But it's a struggle just to write anything new these days, and so I don't want to kill what little muse I've been able to resurrect on fics that have long ago died out.
