![]() Author has written 24 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, Get Backers, Fushigi Yuugi, Naruto, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Harry Potter. Hello everyone! Good news. I have a new computer and for all those people complimenting me on my cover arts, the compliments and kudos actually belong to my bestie and critique-partner, Freya Ishtar. She's made covers for Black Velvet, Sang Real and Devil's in the Details. Yes. She's that talented! Updates on the way soon. thanks for holding out and sending me reminders and encouragement. Love you all! IMPORTANT I have just started a second writing account, in collaboration with my dear friend and critique partner Freya Ishtar. This account is for all collaborations and stories we do together. My individual works will remain here as will Freya's work remain on her profile. This is a really exciting venture for me, because not only is Freya one of my dearest friends but she also inspires my writing. I'm really excited about it and I can't wait to post our first story together. Yayyyy! krystalMage and Freya's Joint Collaborative Work Account Update on Current Stories: Harry Potter Next-Gen Black Velvet - Almost finished. We have about five more chapters to go. This story has a special place in my heart because its going to be the first multi-chapter stories out of my 22 stories to be completed. So yes, I feel very accomplished when I consider this. I will be continuing this story in a sequel told from Scorpius's POV. The sequel will pick up a few months after the final events of the Black Velvet story. Update - Right, so remember how I said five more chapters? Yeah, that might be seven. Errors of Judgement - Yes, I know its been ages and an update is on the way. I am finished with Chapter 5 but there's just something missing. Once I'm satisfied, I will post it. Update on 06/12/2014 - Chapter 5 posted. Work on Chapter 6 begun. In Fair Verona - This story is just picking up speed and I suppose I will have more time to work on it once Black Velvet is complete. Shipping - Alright, I have a OTP for the NextGen. I am a vehement supporter of the Scorlily ship, at times illogically and unreasonably so. My bestie and critique partner Freya Ishtar is trying to get me to be more receptive of other ships so that I do not become a rabidly, anti-any-other-ship-but-my-ship kind of author. Is it working? Well, when I read her stuff, which is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, I think I can actually read the other pairing we Scorlily shippers like to pretend doesn't exist. You know what I'm talking about. In recent discussions upon this, I discovered I was not so opposed to the pairing as I was to the manner in which many writers portray it. For example, so many stories end up portraying Scorpius as Draco and Rose as Hermione, which annoys the good sense out of me completely. This is, as far as I'm concerned, an extremely unimaginative and lame approach to Next Gen. The whole point is to create new characters. If we want Dramione, we will go read Dramione, why have Scorose if all we get is a rehashed form of Dramione? Anyway, ultimately it falls to the kind of story you tell. A good storyteller will find a way to make the most clichéd plot and situations seem interesting and fresh. No matter what your OTP is, try, as I am trying, to overcome the initial instinct to block everything related to a pairing you think you cannot stand, and maybe, you might surprise yourself by enjoying it. New Stories Sang Real - Darkfic. When an incident at Hogwarts robs Albus Severus of his magic, Lily is sent to Durmstrang under an assumed name where she must contend with a trickster spirit willing to give her knowledge for a price and an enigmatic boy who promises to keep her secret. Gray!Lily. Sly!Scorpius. Scorpius Malfoy X Lily Luna Potter. Rated M for blood and naughtiness. The Devil's in the Details - When Lily joins the firm of Malfoy & Zabini, she thinks she'll get a chance to prove her mettle. What she didn't count on was developing a crush on her boss and starting a bitter rivalry with his son. One-sided Lily X Draco. Scorpius X Lily. Slow burn. Rated M for naughtiness, language and Scorpius' dirty mind. |
