Author has written 17 stories for Shaman King, Yu Yu Hakusho, D N Angel, Harvest Moon, and Inception. I haven't updated this thing in years...and I have a feeling that everyone's abandoned me. Oh well. I mostly write fanfiction to indulge my own fantasies anyway. :) Current Fandoms: Yu Yu Hakusho (my first and favorite!), Bleach, Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Harvest Moon (Magical Melody and Animal Parade), Kingdom Hearts, South Park, Daria, House, Glee, and a lot of books. My views on yaoi/yuri/whatever they call same-sex romances in fanfiction these days: While I will probably never actually write a yaoi or yuri story, simply because I'm not interested in doing so, I see no problem with reading it as long as the story is well-written. You never know - the author could surprise you! Never let subject matter get in the way of appreciating good writing. That being said, it's likely that I'll read anything if I trust the author's writing style enough. Even Twilight fanfiction, though I hate the series with a burning passion. Well, at least the authors write better than Stephanie Meyer (not that it's that difficult...). A note on my old stories: Anything incomplete that predates Dolce, Ma Non Troppo is not likely to be continued, except for possibly She's the Man. Why (not that anyone cares)? Because I wrote those back when I was quite a bit younger and inexperienced, and now I'm old and jaded and cynical about my own writing. I'll keep them up for memories' sake and for any poor fool who would still like to read them, but I'm not touching them again, because I want to move on and write (arguably) more interesting stuff. As for me...: I'm not exactly a funny person. I tend to rely a lot on sarcasm, but people tell me I'm very serious and often come across as depressed (not sure why, seeing as how I'm obviously not). So don't expect any of my jokes to leave you cracking a rib with laughter. I try, though, seeing as how my "serious" fiction always manages to turn out melodramatic and kind of icky. I do consider myself a creative person, even if my writing style may not be as developed as some others, and I try to find plots that are original and different. If you're looking for a quick shot of romance, I wouldn't recommend reading one of my longer stories, especially if "romance" is not included in one of the categories. Though I'm a bit of a cheeseball sometimes, I do like to develop my plots and am far more interested in character development than in getting to the hot make-out scenes. Music is my other greatest passion. I love the Beatles, Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles, Goo Goo Dolls, Relient K...well, those are only a few, but they are the major ones (I have almost all of their music). Sometimes, if you look hard enough, you'll find a little tribute to one of those groups hidden inside my stories. I'm also one of those people who wishes they'd been born in a different generation, simply because of culture. I'm embarrassed at what kinds of music (Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, etc.) and literature (Twilight...grr...) is currently popular. Something's wrong with kids these days...but I digress. I AM WILLING TO BETA. Even more than writing, I love reading. And I'm such a grammar nazi and perfectionist that editing is actually fun for me. So if you're looking for a beta, let me know! A reminder: REVIEWS ARE LOVE. Many authors write stories that they are very proud of, and it often hurts to log on and see that while your story has been viewed by multiple people, no one has left reviews. Even if it's just a simple one-liner or even, "Good job", say something! It warms the cockles of my shriveled up heart. |
