hnnnnngohmygod I love this so much it hurts! Happy Nemu is just so good, that part at the end? Made me literally melt. Ikkaku and all the others helping her in chapter 17 when she confronted Mayuri? Literal gold. The slow and steady character growth for Nemu and Ikkaku was so fantastic. I just checked the word count and I'm astonished and impressed that you fit it all into 50k words. And Nemu becoming a teacher? Genius. I'm in love. I just stopped by this story for some light reading and good god, it's pulled me all the way back into the Bleach fandom and I'm living for it. I love the 11th and 12th divisions so much and this fic captured both perfectly! :)

The characters are well-writen. The grammar is just perfect (showing the differences between people and their origins and lifes. You adapted the the language for every character, and that was great). The story has a really good plot, and a wonderfull development.

It was awesome from the begining to the end.

I've never thought about Ikkanemu before, but now, for me, it is canon.

This was very cute and perfectly in character. I honestly dont know how I thought of this ship or what draws me to it, but it's adorable. Beautifully written story. I love how you also incorporated Kaien, Miyako, and Urahara. Brilliant and beautiful.

I found this fic on LJ while lurking on the ikkanemu comm, and loved all your stuff there, despite not reviewing as I should've. I really love this multichaptered fic; it's what cemented my conversion to the Ikkanemu ship.

I just stayed up all night to read this. This is officially one of the best Ikkanemu fics I have ever read. The romance was done perfectly. I loved the fact that it took so long for them to kiss and you didn't overdescribe it. It just worked.

I can't believe how awesomely you tied Urahara into this fic. I dunno if its canon or not, but the freindship/trainer-trainee thing you had going btwn Ikkaku and Urahara was excellent. And it works SO WELL with the show. I was rewatching early eps and when Ikkaku heard that Ichigo had been trained by Urahara(when the rukia rescue squad first broke into the seretei), Ikkaku expresses respect for Urahara. I always figured it was some general respect thing b/c Urahara was a captain previously. But after reading the way you've included him, I have officially decided this is now my canon explanation. lol Its just *excellent*.

I also loved how you kept Mayuri completely in character. I hate the guy(with the fiery intensity of many suns) and the Mayuri in this fic was definitely the same Mayuri I've grown to hate from the show. I especially loved your scenario where he used the academy class as guinea pigs. It was just such a Mayuri thing to do. Great plot on your part. :)

I also loved the ideas you expressed about the zanpaktos and how they worked and interacted with their partners. It made perfect sense to me.

Loved the different relationships you had btwn all the cast members. You explored them nicely. Most of the time, it was like I was watching an episode of the show, thats how natural their interaction with each other was. It was like, all one long OVA. lol

Just gotta say, YAY Kaien! You working him and his wife into this was also sheer brilliance. I felt happy they were there and had such a large part but also sad cus I knew what would inevitably happen. I was extremely curious about how those unfortunate events were gonna effect Ikkaku and Nemu and you didn't disappoint. (Tossing Rukia in there, as well as the random Byakuya moment, was a really cool bonus as well.)

Yeah so, loved the story very much. Totally worth the tiredness I am now feeling. lol

Gonna go check out more of your stuff now. :)

wow. that's all i have to say. i love seeing an uncommon couple, and you did them justice. it was a well-rounded story, with great description, emotion, and the humor. oh, the humor. i don't know how many times i laughed out loud, especially with the div.11 dialogue.

i like how it was gradually stretched out. in so many fanfics it takes them 5 minutes to declare their love (and sometimes jump in the sack 2 minutes after that) though they never really got to know each other. but here, it's how love usually really should unfold: chance meetings, curiousity, understanding, friendship, love.

there are so many other things i'd like to say about this story, but 10,0 chrcts is not enough. plain and simple: i give you a 20 out of 10 for great descriptive writing, a fab plot, and putting together an uncommon, but great, couple.

you gotta give us more ika-nemu! i'm in love with this couple now!

Ahw, this chapter was so full of fluff & junk, agh I can't take it I'm lovin' this whole "protective Ikkaku" thing ( it's great.

It makes me feel bad that I have never entertained the thought of IkkakuxNemu pairing for the most part that I've been delving deeper into Bleach. T-T But I'm still thankful I encountered this fic; most especially since I think this was done YEARS AGO and I only found it now! XD

"But... But Mayuri-sama said that nobody could ever love me." "Oh yeah? Well he said that I'll alwyas be a nobody. Guess that means he made you just for me then, huh?" - this exchange had me melting into a gooey substance like Mayuri even if it's intended to be wisecrack. Only shows how you can wield your words and use them efficiently. I am swept away. *grins*

I really appreciate the effort and time you've spent on writing them AND keeping them all in character (or how Nemu developed from lurking the background and into the limelight), and I have no qualms saying that despite the few reviews, you don't need the quantity - the quality of reviews and the people who appreciate it is more than enough, I think, to make people feel happy. I'm guesing you are, too. XDD

I loved this, and how you got two characters who don't really interact all that much in the canon to work as a pairing. It was great - from when they met at the academy, all the way to their shinigami days.

I adored your Ikkaku, and your Nemu. Her character development, I thought, was very well paced and believable with her detachment from Mayuri especially. There were so many parts of this fic I liked, such as with Ikkaku examining her hands, and the parts with them and their zanpakuto, and your Kaien was awesome too... everything.

I just loved it all, really.

Oh, I adore unique pairings like this one. ) And even better, this one works! Their personalities mesh so well together. I love this story. You've done a great job with it!
