Hi,

I am an eighteen years old girl from Czech. I go to school for future zookeepers and plan to study biology and mainly zoology in the future.

Reading and writing are my two most favourite hobbies. I have even learnt English to level C1 completely by myself simply by reading manga and then fanfiction and books after I found out that most mangas and fanfictions have not been translated to Czech yet.

What do I like to read? These last few years I mostly read yaoi. It all started with normal shoujo manga, but I got fed up with meek, stupid girls with no character being courted and repeatedly saved by absolutely perfect boys. Worse were only stories in which both were meek and shy, blushing constantly at even the tiniest touch of hand... Okay, so then I found mangas with smut with some BDSM. I liked those much better, but there are not that many such shoujo mangas. And then I found some yaoi (don't remember the title) and I really liked the summary which promised a wonderful plot. I decided to try it and in my mind change the uke for a girl. I had stupidly thought that yaoi was only for gays... Well, I had been wrong. I very quickly forgot about replacing the guy for a girl, because it was perfect and intense as it was. I was captured by the power play between the characters. While in most heterosexual stories the romance is either terribly sweet with both of them being equals and perfect or the girl is seen as a weak innocent pretty doll, in yaoi, the relationship is more often unequal. Not because of gender (which mostly determines that men are physically stronger than women), but because of their own accomplishments, their strength, status etc. I like their struggle for dominance.

What do I not like to read? I have found out that I don't enjoy omegaverse much. Well, sometimes I stumble upon a rare fic that is not that bad, but usually it is a load of... What exactly disgusts me about it so much? It seems really unnatural. Is that supposed to be inspired by wolves? Well, for one, wolves don't have only alphas, betas and omegas... Next thing, no alpha would EVER mate with an omega. In the pack, alpha male mates with alpha female and these two are the only ones who reproduce. (If, by some weird chance, another (lesser) female went into heat and was impregnated, the pups would have quite a low chance of surviving.) But okay, I could overlook this. What really spites me are the heats the omegas have to through. In most fics they go completely out of it, are in terrible pain and beg anyone to take them. Where the hell did the authors get such ideas?! Something like that is ridiculous and quite disgusting - it really is not something that would turn me on. Don't believe that any animal goes through that when in heat, what would nature get from it? The female in such a heat would die immediately in the wild - such a weakness would be really dangerous. A simple (slight!) increase in libido works much better at securing the continuation of the species without endangering or harming the individual, right? Uf, I'm glad I got my feelings out, I have been wanting to write that for some time... Now, the last thing I don't like about the typical omegaverse is weak character of the omega - some authors even take it as far as making the character act like some teenage girl, complete with dressing in skirts, buying out shops and having terrible mood-swings (I always wonder if the author was trying to portay her own personality and interests into the character). In conclusion: please, avoid making this 'mistakes', unless reading something like this gives you pleasure, which is something I cannot quite imagine.

On fanfiction I mostly read stories from these worlds: Ai no Kusabi, Harry Potter, Naruto, Bleach.

The pairs I prefer: Iason/Riki, Raoul/Katze; Voldemort/Harry P., Severus Snape/Harry P.; Sasuke/Naruto, Itachi/Naruto, Itachi/Sasuke, Kakashi/Iruka; Byakuya/Ichigo, Byakuya/Renji, Aizen/Byakuya

As I have already said, I also write stories. But, I have already started writing about 60 stories and only two are now completed. And most of these stories are original fiction, only about ten are fanfiction. I have thought about posting something here, but I don't really want to until it is completed. I don't much like reading uncompleted stories (though I still do it), because the whole time I am afraid that it will end soon and somewhere in the middle. Then when it's updated, I have to read it again to remember what it was about, because after reading hundreds of stories about one pair (and some of them with similar plots), I don't really remember what happened, just that I liked it. So, I won't post anything until I have it finished. Which, knowing me, won't happen anytime soon.

If I find a story that really captivites me or I find some logical mistake, I sometimes decide to write a review. And I never write something as short and simple as 'great story' or 'loved it' or 'awesome'. I think a good story is worthy of more than that. So I will honestly tell what exactly I liked and what I didn't like and why. Then I will try to encourage you to continue. It would be nice if all reviewers did the same.
