Anime and Manga I like: Too many to name, but includes Negima, Love Hina, Oh My Goddess, Haruhi, Hellsing, Trigun, Spice and Wolf, Nanoha, Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, everything I've seen so far from Type Moon (except the nonexistant Tsukihime anime), Full Metal Panic, Fullmetal Alchemist, FLCL, Gunslinger Girl, .hack, Initial D, Aria, Minami-ke, and a lot more. More recent examples include Sword Art Online, Accel World, Nyaruko, and others.

Basically, a little of everything with an emphasis on things that don't take themselves too seriously.

Some Random Notes About the Still Waters Series

Still Waters 1 was originally intended to stand alone; Still Waters 2 arose out of the feeling that I needed to expand on certain points in Still Waters 1, but Still Waters 2 only opened the way for Still Waters 3, which is the last installment and is going to be a real monster by the time it's through.

Still Waters 2 was written from start to finish in a little less than a week, minus edits at the time of publishing.

Still Waters 3 is projected to consist of 5 books. The first (Drift), dealing with the introduction of the new class and reintroduction of the old is done, the second (Day to Day), with everyone settling in and getting to know each other, is nearing the end point. The third will deal with Negi's trip to Mundus Magicus to answer the challenge Fate set down at the end of Still Waters 2 as well as deal with the Ako situation, while the fourth will deal with the repercussions and the fifth will wrap everything up.

Including the main stories, the side stories, and the author's notes in each, the Still Waters series currently (6/17/2014) contains 949,238 words and 193 chapters, at an average of about 4,918 words per chapter.

Projects

Firstly, yes I am aware the dividers in some of my stories are missing. I'm working on it and trying to avoid the urge to rewrite each story. Editing of Still Waters 1 is done, next up: SW2.

Still Waters Run Deep: finished and posted. Note: 5/13/2010: Editing is finished. The story will stay mostly the same, but small things are changed here and there.

Still Waters 2: Another Turn: finished and posted. 10/02/09: Updated a minor mistake in the last two chapters; nothing really important.

Still Waters 3: Book 2: We are approaching the end; two regular chapters and an epilogue remain. Book 3 will begin sometime after.

Still Waters 3x: Book 1 Side Stories: Nothing coming for this one unless I get an idea for the time period covered in Book 1.

Still Waters 3x: Book 2 Side Stories: Nothing coming for this one unless I get an idea for the time period covered in Book 2.

Side Stories

Still Waters 2.5: The Ace of Spades: A story about Madoka, taking place during her time in high school between Still Waters 2 and 3. Finished and posted.

Still Waters 2.7: The Queen of Light: A story about Chizuru, Ayaka, and Natsumi, and how they deal with a dangerous crisis a few months after graduation from high school. Finished and posted.

Still Waters 2.7b: How to Fight Zombies: A story about Misora, and what happens when she is called to Rome for some mysterious reason after high school. Finished and posted.

Still Waters 2.9: For Absent Friends: A story about the past, taking place between Still Waters 2 and 3. Finished and posted. Also, replaced missing dividers.

Still Waters 3.01: A Robot's Life: There's one chapter left, and it's already mostly written; I've just got to make it read nicely.

Still Waters 3 Book 1 Side Stories: Short stories involving any number of characters in Still Waters 3, taking place during Book 1.

Still Waters 3 Book 2 Side Stories: Short stories involving any number of characters in Still Waters 3, taking place during Book 2.

Still Waters 3: Meet the New Class: Interested in SW3 but having trouble remembering who is who? This fic's for you.

A note about the story numbers: They are numbered in chronological order. Still Waters 1 is the first story, Still Waters 2 is the second story, and Still Waters 3 is the third story. The side stories are numbered according to their place in the timeline in relation to the main stories; Still Waters 2.5 takes place roughly halfway between Still Waters 2 and Still Waters 3, and Still Waters 2.7 and 2.7b just after everyone graduates from high school. If a side story takes place during one of the main stories, it's numbered with a zero, like this: 3.01.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

Still Waters 3. It's started. Progress is happening and everything is starting to come together.

Still Waters 3: Meet the Old Class. Like Meet the New Class, but featuring Negi's first class instead; aren't you curious what they've been up to for the past six years? The Ku Fei story previously listed in this section has been added to this project.
