Author has written 41 stories for Naruto. Dear Readers, I am still writing. When I am not working on my novel, I founded, moderate, and write for the very literary Naruto RP community Fallen Leaves, set 5 years after the Kyuubi attack, and focusing on ANBU. The stories there are some of the best to be found anywhere, in my not so humble opinion, and I highly advise you check them out, especially if quality writing is your kink. It is the successor to Scarlet Spiral, which is sadly gone forever from the web due to GreatestJournal's demise. I've received more than a few messages asking, justifiably, if I'm going to finish Homecoming and It's Nothing. And more than a few rants and threats. Actually, abusive ranting isn't the best way to an author's heart. Praise is. But I will try to respond to what I believe is the underlying sentiment: you really like my stories and want to know what happens next. The truth: I've lost my zest for these stories. I am a much better writer now than I was when I started them, and they both need extensive rewrites. I have other writing projects that take precedence, either because they are going to one day earn me money, or because they are more to my current taste. But it's also true that a lot of people would really like me to complete these old, original stories. And so would I, in my heart of hearts. It's a lot of work. I really cannot add further chapters without editing/re-writing what I have already written, both because I need to re-insert myself into the minds of those characters, and because whatever I write to follow will need to stylistically mesh with what comes before. At this point, three years later, it won't, unless I rewrite from the start. So I'm considering it, but I'm making no promises. In the mean time, read my other stories, and if you like them, let me know. You'll catch far more flies with honey than with vinegar, my grandmother always said. With love, Nezuko P.S. First Kisses is a stand-alone short story, and it always has been. I am delighted that so many people like it, but I'm not going to add to it. However, if you want to read something similar that I've written recently, check out Boys Born in Summer. An essay I wrote: Why I like to write about Umino Iruka and Hatake Kakashi from Naruto About me: Writer. Californian. Kinsey 4. Probably older than you. Turquoise hair. University of Michigan BA in Theatre. Favorite writing music: Kanno Yoko's soundtracks for GITS-SAC, Wolf's Rain, Cowboy BeBop, and Macross Plus Nihongo wo benkyoushiteimasu, but I still need the English subtitles. Seven pet rats. |
