[Being ANBU tends to make me a little graphic. I'm sure you understand] I'll definitely make my way down the rest of the list as soon as I've slept some.

You depress me. But since it’s in a good way, it also makes me happy. Much love for Raidou in this one. Write more little ‘slice of life’ pieces, I think they’re your strong point.

Feels very much like a buddy fic- which was really good. That whole "imaginary food" theme was very intresting, as well as that touch of angst during that part of reflection of the life of an ANBU ninja.

as always, well well done.

You were always wonderful writing the boys as 'shinobi' as opposed to just 'men in a relationship' (which is what I do heh). The detail given to Genma's frantic escape was very believable and make me unconsiciously hold my breath. And the section u wrote on Genma's internal almost incoherent thoughts was very, very well done. For some reason the line 'he just needed someone...who understood him...' got to me on more levels that one.

The interaction between Genma and Raido was also adorable. As u know my Raido is a adorable goldfish so I love seeing 'strong intelligent' Raido here. They play so well of each other. And for some reason leaving their relationship ambigious works so much better here than if you explicitly made them a couple.

That was sweet and cute! And kinda sad, but that' where the drama part of the genre kicks in of course. The whether outside my window right now reminds me of Genma's trip back to Konoha... cold, paniced, drowzy, hard...

Love it. You did manage to come up with a great ending. I can so see Raidou or another shinobi doing just that sort of charkra waste for a buddy in the hospital. Very nice. :)

If this's what comes of my leaving you on your own for the night, perhaps I should do so more often. *clings despite this* I absolutely adore your characterizations and your writing; I could almost feel Genma's hunger and his exhaustion and his grief, and the hard punch of Ryouji's death was paired beautifully with Genma waking up to Raidou being there. (And hurrah for Ninja's Passing! My subconscious mind has now decided that's their theme song.) Your portrayal of their friendship is absolutely incredible and so much love and thanks for giving the world (and, more importantly, a pre-breakfast and hungry me) another truly awesome story to read!

Hey dude, tracked this from KakaIru (I'm darksideofstorm on lj _) s'funny how fics for peoples' birthdays always tend to be of a higher calibre than 'normal' fics. And this one was no exception _

I loved the little details in this, the farmhouse scratched by kyuubi claws, a broken shin instead of the obligitory broken ankle, Ryouji being more than just another ANBU rookie, I really loved Genma getting pissed at the nin he was trying to give his report to because she wouldn't sit still, *chuckles*

My favorite line had to be

"Four days trying to pretend that it was normal to wish he could just stop breathing rather than deal with the pain of inhaling again."

Just for the ouch facter, (this is not entirely relevent but it rather reminds me of the first three days when you get braces - many years ago now - when all you want to do is rip your teeth out to make it stop hurting, white smile be damned XD).

The part between Genma and Raidou was just aww-worthy (especially the chrakra bit, hee). I totally loved it, Gai thumbs up smiley for you - _d

Like I said, reading the unfinished version of this at the trainstation was awesome. I felt the frantic urge to tell you how much I liked it, but couldn't. This is short, intense, sweet and fantastic! Love it!
