I loved the awning scene because it captured the "intruding on a couple's "intimate" moment" well, as if you are sharing a joke only they understand, it makes you both elated to know love exists and sad when it hasn't quite happened to you yet. It was brave for Iruka to confess and I am glad it paid off! The emotional roller coaster I went through reading this was moving (no pun intended) because it was a realistic view of the emotions expected of two friends contemplating the idea of moving past a platonic relationship- optimistic of course since not all relationships transition that well but one can hope. It was sweet to make Iruka a hopeless romantic virgin because Kakashi gets a chance to come to terms with his feelings and they can explore their intimate side together ;)...I loved the story from beginning to end! Too bad it just ended with a kiss... I think this calls for a bonus chapter of one of Iruka's fantasies played out or on Kakashi piecing back together that letter (though it may have been ruined by the rain). It just seems a waste to scrap the letter since it started it all. Really great work - it brought a smile to my face. :) |
