 Author has written 19 stories for Ninjago, Big Valley, and Wild Wild West. Howdy pardners! I am The Mayor of Ninjago City. I joined FanFiction in the late summer of 2015. I consider September 2, 2015 to be my official join date, for that is when I gave myself my mayoral pseudonym and posted Chapter 1 of my first fanfic, The Fire Within a Ninjago Cowboy. I live in the midwestern section of the United States and I love country music. I was introduced to this website by a family member who goes by the pen name of measuremesky. We are both huge fangirls of the cartoon series Ninjago! Measuremesky began her first Ninjago fanfic, The Fire Within, in 2015. That fanfic, along with her next story A Degree in Danger, can be found on this website. She gave me permission to use her material to write my own tales, and thus there is now a The Fire Within series. These stories basically chronicle the relationship between the fire ninja Kai and his love interest named Samantha, as well as the relationship between the earth ninja Cole and his love interest named Brooke. All of these stories take place after the Tournament of Elements season and assume that no other season has occurred. (At the time measuremesky began to pen her work, in the spring of 2015, the Tournament season was the newest Ninjago season to be aired.) Here is a quick list of the stories, in the time sequence order in which they take place, and who wrote them: (mms=measuremesky, MNC=The Mayor of Ninjago City) 1. The Fire Within (by mms) Measuremesky's great fanfic, which I'll refer to it as TFW, focuses on the beginning of the relationship between our favorite red ninja and a cute college girl named Sam, who he met at the grocery store and who now temporarily lives on The Bounty with the ninja team while she works at an internship at Borg Industries during the summer. 2. The Fire Within: The Ferris Wheel Incident (by MNC) This story, an easy read of three chapters, features a dream Kai may have had one night, specifically after Chapter 43 of measuremesky's TFW. The carnival idea came from an annual event that is held every summer in our town. 3. A Degree in Danger (by mms) This tale takes place during the fall semester at Ninjago University. The ninja go undercover as college students to catch some bad guys. 4. All I Want for Christmas: Cole's Dream (by MNC) This three-chapter tale takes place right after fall semester final exams. Cole dreams that he and his girlfriend Brooke are going Christmas shopping, and they get more than they bargained for in the furniture department! 5. The Fire Within: The Valentine Incident (by MNC) In this tale, Kai and his girlfriend Sam plan to celebrate Valentine's Day together, but that plan is threatened by a evil sorcerer seeking to avenge his father. In the last chapter, the couple's love for each other, which has deepened over the preceding months, results in their engagement! 6. The Fire Within: Trouble in Paradise (by MNC) Cole's girlfriend Brooke decides to take advantage of an opportunity to spend her spring break from university classes at faraway Paradise Beach. Cole is disappointed at being separated from her until a mission suddenly comes up in which he and Lloyd will be working close to where Brooke is vacationing. He thinks it will be fun to surprise her, but what happens? 7. The Fire Within: Spring Break for a Teacher (by MNC) Kai and Samantha are now engaged to be married. Sam's family travels from their home village to Ninjago City to meet the red ninja, his sister Nya, and the rest of the ninja team. What happens when Sensei Wu and Sam's Aunt Jill meet each other? 8. The Fire Within: The Fire Witch Incident (by MNC) A few weeks before Kai and Samantha’s wedding, Kai, Cole, and Zane go on a mission to help battle raging forest fires. But what happens when Kai disappears during the mission, and the ninja team and Sam set out to determine what happened to him? 9. The Fire Within: The Independence Day One-Shot (by MNC) This short little one-shot takes place about one week after the end of The Fire Within: The Fire Witch Incident. Following their harrowing ordeal, the occupants of the Bounty are relaxing on the evening of the Ninjago Independence Day holiday. 10. The Fire Within: Rehearsal of Danger (by MNC) Kai and Samantha's wedding is tomorrow! After the rehearsal of the ceremony at the chapel, Cole and Brooke hail a taxicab to take them to the restaurant where the rehearsal dinner is being held. But what happens when robbers commandeer the cab? 11. The Fire Within: A Mayoral Vote (by MNC) At Kai and Samantha's wedding reception, the guests are having fun, including the mayor of Ninjago City. But what happens when a sorcerer escapes from prison? 12. The Fire Within: An Unforgettable Honeymoon (by MNC with contributions by mms) It’s Kai and Sam’s honeymoon! They have traveled to Shanville to attend the annual Musijago music festival, but they soon become kidnapping victims. Will they live to see their one-week anniversary, let alone their one-year milestone? 13. The Fire Within: The Saint Patrick's Day One-Shot (by MNC) (This is a yet-to-be posted story.) Saint Patrick's Day is a happy day for the ninja team - for several reasons! 14. The Fire Within: The Beach Day Incident (by MNC with contributions by mms) Cole and Brooke are now engaged to be married. Being stressed out from making plans for the wedding, which will take place in two months, they decide to take a day off and relax at the beach on Lake Ninjago. What happens while they prepare for their outing? 15. The Fire Within: *title not yet determined* (by MNC) (This is a yet-to-be posted story.) Kai and Sam are excitedly expecting their first child. However, as they look forward to the arrival of the little one in a few short months, their happiness is marred by the return of Sebastian, the evil sorcerer. I am also the author of two stories which take these characters and transport them back to the 1800s. 1) The Fire Within a Ninjago Cowboy This story was my first one on FanFiction and was inspired by a family vacation in the summer of 2015 to Arizona, when we visited the Goldfield Ghost Town in Apache Junction. It was there - in front of the gift shop, to be specific - that the idea came to me to use the ninjas and Sam and Brooke in a tale about the Old West in the 1800s. In my story, it was easier for me not to keep any of the canon family relationships (i.e. siblings Kai and Nya, father/son Dr. Julien and Zane, father/son Lou and Cole) intact except for the Garmadon group (Lloyd and Misako and Wu are still son, mother, and uncle). 2) The Fire Within a Ninjago Soldier This is a sequel to my cowboy tale. Civil war erupts in Ninjago, and the four Garmadon Ranch cowboys go off to fight. Kai becomes a prisoner of war and crosses paths with former sweetheart Skylor. Garmadon Ranch becomes the winter home of the enemy army. New chapters will be posted on a random basis. And there's more... Episode 40 (Spellbound) - Kai's Thoughts Episode 40 ("Spellbound") is my favorite episode of my favorite season, The Tournament of Elements. What thoughts went through Kai's mind from the time he and Skylor formed their ill-fated alliance to search for Nya together in the island jungle, to the time he was captured by Chen? I came up with my own version. I thank LeCinnamonTsundere for inspiring me to create this short piece! Trapped in the Big Valley This is a Ninjago X Big Valley crossover. In the course of fighting an enemy of Ninjago, Jay and Lloyd get pulled through a portal and end up in Stockton, California in the late 1800s. They end up meeting the Barkley family and working on the ranch. Can Jay help the Barkleys save their citrus crop? Can Lloyd avoid falling in love with Audra? Will the two ninja brothers ever be able to return to Ninjago? The Night of the Stolen Gold Many moons ago, when I was ten years old, I loved the TV show The Wild Wild West. I loved it so much that I wrote my own story using the main characters, Jim West and Artie Gordon. (I was writing fan fiction way before I knew what a fanfic was! XD). I decided to post my early writing in memory of the late actor Robert Conrad, who played Jim West and who passed away on February 8, 2020. For those of you interested in Ninjago music videos, go to YouTube and, in the search box, type Stephanie Brown Ninjago tribute. Stephanie Brown has a channel featuring over two dozen excellent videos of Ninjago episode clips set to good music! One of her videos, "Monster", has been viewed 22 MILLION TIMES! Awesome! My profile picture features a birthday cake in the form of our favorite red ninja. The party celebrated the fifth birthday of a family member. At this same birthday party, the young guests had the opportunity to swing at a piñata in the form of our favorite red ninja. It was kind of difficult to watch Kai get beat up, especially by a bunch of preschoolers! |
