A little bit about me.

I am Rebecca. I am now an English and Drama teacher!

I created this account many years ago, and have been writing since about 2004; I was about fourteen, and I am now 25. I started by reading a story here and there between book releases. At the time, Order of the Phoenix had recently been released. Very soon after beginning to read, a relative lack of material I was interested in prompted me to write. For a while, I wrote the typical original character fic. By fifteen, I had removed the story from the site and started Antiquity's Corollary.

It took a few tries to get up and running. I had been running a Harry Potter forum for some time, so I found betas quickly. My initial posting of the first fifteen chapters was deleted after several months work and many reviews due to an unfortunate incident involving a Terms of Service violation. (I had posted an author's note as a chapter to get word out about something while I waited to update; I was totally unaware of internet etiquette, I suppose!) However, I took the opportunity to revise a bit, based on some of the great concrit I'd received, and I posted all the chapters back up. I continued updating from there, and eventually it grew to the novel sized fiction you see today. I loved writing this fic.

It is difficult for me to update. I do not have a lot of free time and when I have taken a while off of writing, it is difficult to pick up where I left off.

Every once in awhile, and with decreasing frequency as time has passed, a few reviews find their way into my inbox. I am always happy to see them; they remind me of a very happy time, when these were my greatest responsibilities. Every so often, I read a review that moves me to write a scene, and then I'm off. When that happens, I email my old internet friends and chat with them about my ideas. I love those times.

It is Jaunuary of 2015 as I write this. I am now finishing my Bachelor of the Arts in English, with a minor in biology and a secondary education teaching certification. Bouts of creativity and stretches of free time allow me to write when inspiration strikes. Currently, I am working towards the completion of the story.

About my Stories:

Antiquity's Corollary: This is an 11 year labor of love, so far. I have come very far with this story. It currently stands at 54 chapters, and I see an end in sight. I imagine it will end up around 60 chapters. If it takes a few longer than that, so be it. I have posted five chapters, each around 10,000 words. I hold this fic close to my heart because it deals with Severus as Harry's Father, which though I don't read often, I really love. I feel that a lot of people have lost interest over time, so if any of you are out there reading, please let me know so I know I'm not playing to an empty audience.

All Manners of Necessity: Just too much fun to write. I am trying to finish my epic fic, though, so I've sort of placed it on the back burner. I want to finish it; I only planned on it being about 20-30 chapters tops, so I probably will at some point.
