Guest chapter 12 . 5/13 Thank you for writing this story. I wish you well. o.o |
Smerby chapter 12 . 10/24/2019 SPOILERS IN REVIEW: I am so glad I stumbled across this fic. I actually discovered it after you were one of the few favorites of another favorite author of mine (scumblackentropy, plug plug for her). It was refreshing to read a fic written before we learned Snape was a half-blood and before we learned of his devotion to Lily. It brings me back to the days when all of us fic writers had so much fun coming up with ideas on his background. Yours were interesting, and I really enjoyed Loki. I admit I was hoping for some good smut, haha, but even without, you still managed to capture the slow build of love from Snape. By Chapter 9 or so, I realized where you were going with the connection between the flashbacks, and there's definitely something so scintillating about Snape essentially throwing the whole war effort for Hermione. The epilogue was particularly heartbreaking, especially as a mom. Her dream, her failure to leave because of Anna, etc. All gripped me! My one comment is, if you're still around or ever read these reviews, that I think you accidentally wrote 'Anna' as 'Julia' in one portion. For a few minutes I was unsure if there was also a second child, or if you had actually just typed the wrong name. It's unclear either way. But overall, what a story! Definitely one of the 'kept me up too long at night and made me exhausted at work the next day' type of fics! I wish I could find where else you've written! |
Guest chapter 12 . 9/28/2019 Very enjoyable. Excellent reveal in the end. |
zippityzep chapter 12 . 9/7/2019 I- how- what- How can you leave us with just this one masterpiece? How are we supposed to deal with this ache? |
Kknd2 chapter 12 . 9/7/2019 Always nice to see a work of NobleDark. It figures that Albus's folly would be a misjudgment of character. We saw that time and again in cannon, and I have to admit you expertly strung things along, pacing out the information so that we could start in the middle, see the lead up to where things started, and then see the end. I imagine that, in the fullness of time, Voldemort meets his demise. 'The Light' doesn't trust the Snape family. Too selfish, too hard to read and understand. Oh, they'll admit that the first concern of the family is the family. But they just don't trust them not to turn coat to preserve that family at other's expense. Which ultimately suits them fine. Other's opinions are generally signs of their ignorance, and they have the family so they are not alone. |

ljpjcg chapter 11 . 2/15/2018 Incredibly sad in that Severus is so down on himself but I am so happy that Hermione chose to love him and stay with him. I hope in the end, good triumphs over evil and SSHG are left happy and whole |
