What I really love about your story, is this new approach to SSHG that you have. A fresh one!

I am a bit tired of the usual SSHG plots. Such as:

Snape gives Hermione a detention and they have 30 chapters of hot steamy sex.

Snape survived the War and Hermione must care for Snape and become his friend and eventually lover and they have 30 chapters of hot steamy sex.

Voldemort & Co. rapes Hermione and magically binds her to Spane to they must live Unhappily Ever After and defeat Voldemort… and they have 30 chapters of hot steamy sex.

Due to the Marriage Law, Snape and Hermione must be married and they hate each other but eventually become friend then lovers… and they have 30 chapters of hot steamy sex.

Bla bla bla bla bla Snape and Hermione… and they have 30 chapters of hot steamy sex.

So much cliché in the SSHG fandom!

Your story is just different. Refreshing. Wonderful!

I really, really adore yours story!
So very well written, such an interesting plot, and I love your version of Snape: polite, wise and kind. The Greasy Git Bastard Snape is only an act.

In many SSHG fan fictions (I have just recently abandoned reading one of them after 30 chapters, such a waste of time...), Snape is portrayed as a very dark, twisted abusive and borderline psychotic. It is really disturbing.

Of course Snape has a dark past, he is a Death Eater and a spy, but I can never imagine Snape being downright abusive and violent.

Your fan fiction is intelligent, intriguing and captivating.

I love Snape's thoughts on the bodice ripper, and listed so neatly, too!

I like the idea that Fudge wouldn't get an invitation to clean the gutters at Malfoy Manor now. He was an overtly manipulative man, whereas a true politician leaves others thinking that they have benefited.

Ahaaa, I see a reference to Barnaby’s in chapter 42! I’m from a Chicago suburb and it’s been fun to come across references I grew up with. The Barnaby’s in Des Plaines was a place I went all the time as a kid. Amazing pizza!
