 Author has written 2 stories for Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Mysteries. Hi All What can I say? Hmmmm let's start with the obvious - I love to read. I'm addicted to SVM and True Blood. I thoroughly enjoyed the books and am up to date with all the TB episodes so far. I have to say that the show leaves a bit to be desired but how often are we disappointed with TV/movies based on the books we love - often. Having said that, I thought the movie "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" based on the book by the same name was excellent and much in line with the book. I'm looking forward to the next movie being released on DVD soon. I discovered fan fiction about a year and a half ago. After devouring all the SVM books I was looking on the net for related stuff and then found this site among others. I was shocked to find so many stories written about the characters I had just been reading about not to mention all the other stories based on books, movies etc. Far out! Needless to say I've been blown away with the quality of the writing/story telling to be found. The first fic I read was "Let Love In" by Terri Botta. I recognised the title to be that of a Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album. Not sure if that was intentional on Terri's part but I love Nick Cave so gave the story a go. I haven't looked back. Seriously I think I've read hundreds of stories, long ones, short ones, smutty ones, crap ones, mushy ones and funny ones. I know that doesn't nearly cover the range of stories out there. I would say about 99% of the stories I read are SVM or TB based. Sometimes I may entertain myself and read a bit of twilight fic while waiting for an update on one of my current faves and I've recently read a bit of Millennium Trilogy fic and Pirates of the Caribbean. I do not read AH stories when immersed in the Sookieverse. It seems strange to strip the characters of the otherworldly qualities that make them who they are. Enough waffling! I'm a mother of two (2.5yrs and 5mth) awesome boys. I'm nearly 33. I usually work at our local university but I'm currently on Mat. leave for another 7mths. My husband rolls his eyes every time I set up my laptop - he knows I'm about to zone out and read till my eyes hurt. This happens pretty much every night after the kids are down. You will never find a story written by me. My creativity manifests itself in my cooking and garden. I'm just plain shit at spinning a tale! Guys, apparently I'm not as shit as I thought. Check out my first efforts at writing. I like humour and I like smut.
