It was good to see the vampires in predator mode with the weres. It’s well past time for this Sookie to face reality & make some choices instead of straddling fences & holding the vampires in her life to standards she herself fails to adhere to. She’s horrified at the thought of or sight of E, G, & P killing? Her headcount is up to what — four now? Ugh — and the self-flagellation after her kills to defend her own life, ad nauseam! She intentionally carries knives and keeps them at the ready. That’s intention there. She’s not carrying the as a manicure kit.

I also appreciate the Eric is taking a step back in terms of a more rational/less love & lust addled look at Sookie while not deserting her. It’s crazy-making when Eric &/or Godric characters treat their bratty, banshee-like Sookies like faultless, heart-of-gold, generous, etc., princesses.

Sookies are rarely sweet or truly generous. Sookies tell themselves & everyone else that their generous, ladies, etc. but mostly what the actually do is wreak havoc on everyone in their lives. Most Sookies suck. I usually only root for Erics to get their Sookies because that’s what the Erics want, certainly not because she’s deserving.

So this story ends in one more chapter after setting up what seems like some more original plot lines on the heels of a less original canon-ish trip to Mississippi. And the sequel/3rd installment with the follow-up on the more original stuff introduced here never happened. My leash favorite thing about fan fiction — abandoned stories.

As well as, apparently unable to make rational decisions, emotionally cowardly, and just plain not very bright...

I know that this chapter follows the canon storyline, but it doesn’t quite make sense to me in the context of this story:
- They had Russell’s permission to take Bill so why did they choose to have Sookie do it during the day with no back-up? It would have made more sense to do it after sunset and, frankly, why did Sookie have to be involved at all since Russell agreed they could have Bill?
- If Godric is so very worried about Sookie’s safety, why didn’t he take Lorena out of the picture like Russell suggested? It makes no sense for him to leave Lorena free in the vicinity that Sookie would be alone trying to get Bill free from, especially since G&E knew she was old enough to be awake during daylight. It just doesn’t fit here.
- I disagreed with the original Sookie’s choice to check in the trunk since very, very few things can kill a vampire, meaning Bill was ‘alive’ going into the trunk so he wouldn’t have died if she’d waited until Eric could be there with her before opening the trunk. I could reluctantly excuse canon Sookie’s error because she didn’t know that much about vampires at that point in the book series. HOWEVER, THIS SOOKIE has tons of vampire experience and should definitely have known that Bill wouldn’t die if left as he already was in the trunk, even without the bottles of True Blood. Also, I can understand Sookie characters, based on canon personality traits, not wanting Bill to be killed (although I very much disagree with that), but for all Bills do to Sookies, I can’t think of any reason she couldn’t make herself leave him alone & as he was in the trunk until she had Eric with her to open the trunk.

This was a strange chapter. It felt much sillier than other chapters (or than the first story) and not in a good way. Almost like Sookie or the writer were high or drunk.

Not sure why it's labeled as complete when it's far from it. That aside I quite like your stories, minus the petulant ass Sookie.

I'm so relieved that Sookie made the right choice. And I shudder to think about Jason's powers being unbound by Lexie!

The most shocking part of this is that Mernieth never taught Godric how to torture!

I don't know what to do for Sookie. Maybe Eric shouldn't have drained that Were right in front of her, taken him inside to do it, but Sookie said she wanted to be there.

Yes, I DID like your twist on things! It was smart of Sookie to pour the True Blood down Bill's throat. I thought it would work and it was another of your new twists.

I'm glad Godric told Sookie everything and that she understood. I didn't realize Russell's bombshell about Ulrich was to draw Eric in!
