I'm sorry I was so wrapped up in your story to leave comments before now. This is Fantastic you both write together like the author. I want to say thanks to you beta team also. I'm home with my 2 teens during this country 2020 quarantine and I decided to hunt this site for CatBones then also any Anita Blake here. I'm hoping writers here updated or wrote new stories in these two categories. This story is so perfect I love reading it again. Thank you for all the hours each of you as a team devoted to writing this for all readers like me. I appreciate this. I wish I knew of books you had published that I could purchase.

Good to see Kira berating herself for ignoring the visions and her own intuition. I'm sure she won't make the same mistake twice.

Ooh, exciting. I've often enjoyed detective stories, which was one more thing I loved about Kira.

I'm definitely curious about Van and Mencheres.

So far, this story is well put together.

What a terrible dilemma for Kira. And poor Mencheres. He has a point, too. I wish she had chosen Mencheres, but I can understand why she couldn't. And really, it's good to see a romance in which family still matters.

I actually liked the scene where Mencheres thanks Gorgon and compliments him on his excellent help over the years. The scene in the book where Mencheres asks Gorgon why he doesn't seek his freedom was very touching to me. I thought Gorgon would leave after Mencheres was married to Kira, but apparently that never happened. :) I would have been happy either way, but it's awesome Mencheres has such a loyal friend.

I hope Kyra does come to terms with feeding from human necks eventually. I know this fic is finished, but I really enjoyed the scene in EKOD when she was talking to the human property and they were saying how Mencheres saved them. I feel like if she talked more to the humans, she'd feel better about feeding from them.

Awww. Poor Kira. Mencheres should have been gentler. But he makes sense. The sun really does drain vampires and I can see how new ones would be particularly affected.

It was wonderful to see Kira and Tina interacting. I really wish we could have seen Tina's meeting Mencheres in the book. This story really seems to fill a need of mine. As for the vacation, I can just bet Mencheres would have places to show Kira.

I like having that loose end about the blood the police found tied up.

Kira having the ability to prophesy makes sense.

This is a good start. These two are so cute. Mencheres' littlest vampire.

I liked seeing Kira feeding again and trying to get used to biting live people. Also, it makes sense that Mencheres would have trouble letting her feel his emotions because of his years of having to at least pretend to be neutral.

Thank you for this exciting story. I miss her writing books about all these characters. I knew it had to come to an end sometime but had hoped years from now. Your work writing this story ladies brought joy to us all

i loved the NH series...n this was a great continuation of Kira/Menchys story!
