My thoughts on writing:

1. Read- we become better writers if we read and explore other authors works and examine their writing style and the like.

2. Practice- You don't become a great writer over night. It takes lots of work. And as the old saying goes, "Practice makes perfect"

3. Revise & Review- Let's face it. Nothing comes out perfect the first time. So whenever you finish writing something, reread and make corrections. Rearrange, delete, change, or add are the basics of revising. This step is also crucial in the writing process too.

4. Accept & reflect on feedback- Whether it's criticism or praise or both, you should always show your work to the others and let them give you their opinion. If they think it is terrible and full of mistakes, don't get mad. Just nod and listen before blowing a fuse. Most people who criticize are trying to help you, not hurt you. Still, if you get criticized harshly, shut them up and get back to your writing. Make it the best piece you can.

5. Learn grammar, punctuation, & spelling- It will not kill you to learn or review grammar and spelling. If you don't capitalize or you capitalize too much, pick up a damn grammar book and skim through it. If you can get the fundamentals down, know the rules, and practice. Your writing will have better flow, make it easier for the reader to read, and give the sentence a clear meaning.

Onyx-

Gender: Male

Element: Shadow/Darkness

Physical Appearance: Onyx is a lean dragon with jet black scales and white underbelly and wings. He may not look like a strong dragon, but he is. His eyes are blood red. There is also a small brass chain that he likes to wear around his neck which his father gave him. He stands at 5 ft 6 inches in height.

Personality: Serious, kind, comical, and helpful. He can sometimes be aloof and distant at times too.

Likes: Poetry, reading, mining, leafy green vegetables, and baked chicken.

Dislikes: Snobs, rich folk, vampires, to be mocked or taunted.

Cameon (Formerly called Lupe)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Element: Electricity

Physical Appearance: Cameon is with a lean body with overlapping oval-shaped white scales, mint green eyes, and a light green underbelly. He is a dragon that has the condition of changing colors due to his emotional state or feelings. He has three different color changes.

Angry- Bright red scales and orange underbelly.

Sad-- Blue scales and grey underbelly

Happy--Gold scales and light green underbelly.

For every other emotion or feeling, he remains in his natural color scheme. The one he was born with.

Personality: Friendly, comical, somewhat hyperactive, and sociable. He's a very talkative and playful sort of guy that wants to see everyone happy and in good spirits. He is also the type of character that loves to have fun and express himself, especially if it's through music or drawing

Likes: Music, Nubia, drawing, songs, having fun

Dislikes: Chores, stalkers, bullies, to be taken advantage of.

Nubia-

Age: 16

Race: Dragon

Gender: Female

Element: Earth

Physical Appearance: Nubia is a well-toned dragoness that bears chocolate brown scales and light brown underbelly and wings, and bright orange eyes . She also wears a beaded necklace around her neck that jingles whenever she uses her spiritual powers and that sort of thing. She stands at a height of 5ft 5 inches.

Personality: Wise, calm, and traditional. Nubia also borders along the line of strange as well. She usually acts traditional with her constant meditation, her prayers to her ancestral spirits, and her adages that she learned from her ancestors and family.

Likes: Candles, herbs and roots, smoked pork, hunting, her tribal life, and Lupe

Dislikes: Most technologies, being called a savage (even though she was born and raised in a tribe), evil spirits, and being belittled.

Faerie-

Age: 16

Race: Dragon

Gender: Female

Element: Earth

Physical Appearance: Faerie is quite a pretty dragoness (the ideal version of a fair maiden if you will) with dark purple scales, a green underbelly and butterfly wings (hence the name). She also has golden eyes as well and a lithe frame with long back legs. She stands at 5ft 4inches.

Personality: Sweet, compassionate, and nurturing. She is a type of character who tries to help others in anyway she can and loves to take care of others. She can seem emotional and over protective and sensitive, but she is an overall peaceful, good dragon.

Likes: flowers, gardening, singing, babies, vegetables and fruits , and Arcanel.

Dislikes: Bullies, being oggled or picked on, monsters, swimming.

Arcanel-

Age: 17

Race: Dragon

Gender: Male

Element: None

Physical Appearance: Arcanel is a lean but muscular dragon with silver scales, purple eyes, and baby blue wings. He also has backward curving spines along his neck and back. He also has strong, short limbs and a long tail. He stands at a height of 5ft 6inches.

Personality: Arcanel is typically impulsive, introverted, and neat. He likes to keep to himself at times, but he enjoys and relishes spending time with Faerie is if it were his last. He tries to keep his secret of being a wish granter secret, but somehow, someone figures out.

Likes: Walnuts and peacans, neatness and order, Faerie, and snow

Dislikes: Granting wishes of any kind, being sick, being used or taken advantage of, sea food.

Digit-

Race: Dragon

Element: Earth

Physical Appearance: Digit is a short and slightly stocky dragon with green scales and a yellow underbelly and wings. He also wears black goggles around his curled brown horns. Digit stands at a height of 5ft 5inches.

Personality: Digit is usually optimistic, intelligent, creative, introverted, and comical. He is the type of the character that often thinks to himself and is full of ideas. He may be clumsy, detached, and impulsive at times, but he is a character that tries his best and loves to build and fix things.

Likes: Building things, fixing things, lamb chops, Jinx, and his family

Dislikes: Singing, quitting, monsters, being scared half to death.

Jinx-

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Element: Shadow

Race: Dragon

Physical Appearance: Jinx is a lithe and tomboyish dragoness with jet black scales, a green underbelly and wings, and bright neon green eyes. Her horns are ivory and pointed. She also has a spade shaped tail blade. Jinx stands at a height of 5ft 4inches

Personality: Jinx is typically easy going, sarcastic, and cautious. She is the type of dragoness that just wants to be understood and have fun. She also believes in seeing the good in others and accepting others for their flaws and limitations.

Likes: Dancing, her dolls, Digit, going to the beach, to relax and unwind, learn.

Dislikes: Volteer's annoying lectures, to be scolded or disrespected, her bad luck ability (ability to cause bad luck or misfortune through touch or presence.)

Name: Jehu
Age: 17

Gender: Male

Element: Electricity

Physical Appearance: Jehu is a dragon with a lean but healthy frame. He stands at a height of 5ft 7inches. He has a coat of gray oval-shaped scales with black edges on them. His wings are beige. His underbelly is creamy white. He has two pointed horns that are polished and white. His eyes are large and peach-colored. Jehu wears a single brass band on his left foreleg.

Personality: Jehu is generally a down-to-earth and hardworking dragon. He is serious, kind, hardworking, and slightly old fashioned. Often times, he goes out of his way to help others in his community as well as doing work each day and bettering himself. At times, he is stern, cynical, and impatient towards others.

Likes: Grilled fish, working, folk music, and helping family and friends.

Dislikes: Ghosts, the Dark Master, puzzles, and bloodshed

Fears: Golems and demons

Goals: To become a master craft-dragon--This has been a dream since he was a hatchling, and he continues to work toward that dream.

Skills: carpentry, forging, hunting, and stone masonry

Background: Jehu was raised by his father, Garu. He learned everything he could from his father about life and work. And he often followed his father’s example. From childhood to his teenage years, he spent much of his life without his mother (who died days after giving birth). Though it pains him to know that he will never see her again, he often thinks of her and knows that she is watching him. Also, through life, Jehu became good friends with Dharak.

Appearance: Cedric is a stocky sort male with forest green scales and yellow under belly and wings and brown spots on his front legs. He is a dragon that is both handsome and clever as well as competitive. And because he is Digit's older brother, he gives Digit a hard time and teases him for having the Curse of Zephyr. Cedric is about 6ft tall.

Personality: Cedric is typically clever, outgoing, stubborn, and assertive. He is the type of character that isn't afraid to speak his mind or poke fun at other's expense.

Likes: Sparring, cooking, Syren, and games

Dislikes: Darkness, scorpions, and the number 9

Syren

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Dragon

Element: Ice

Physical Appearance: Syren is a graceful and long-legged dragoness. She has silvery blue scales and creamy white under belly and wings. Syren also has two ridged gray horns. She stands at least 5ft 8inches. She is also Cedric's girlfriend.

Personality: Syren is generally proud, outgoing, artistic, and creative. She is a character that is generally gifted at art and being creative and has good people skills. She is also a dragon that can let her emotions get the better of her.

Likes: Sculpting, painting, and writing

Memora- Dragoness, blue gray scales with creamy white underbelly and wings and lavender eyes. Cyril's niece and librarian of Temple Academy. Loves: Ice cream, reading, her family life, and Carrodor. Hates: Duke and Ember, taking medicine, fire, and bugs. Element: Ice. Mate of Carrodor

Carrodor- Dragon, reddish brown scales with brown underbelly and orange wings and red eyes. Terrador's nephew and gardener of Temple Academy. Loves: Memora, nature, rock climbing, sunsets, and swimming. Hates: Duke and Ember, the smell of burning wood, being cooped inside for too long, and show-offs. Element: Earth. Mate of Memora.
