Naruto

I am a huge fan of Naruto (I don't find the term 'Narutard' all that offensive). I thoroughly enjoy reading Naruto fanfics, and sometimes I write my own when I'm bored out of my mind. I wish I were a better writer, and I especially wish that I knew how to write solid gen fics. Since I don't, pretty much all my stories involve pairings and many of them are short and fluffy because I'm not great at developing interesting and original plots. Seriously. If you told me to think of even just a mildly interesting plot, my mind just goes blank. It would be nice if I could think up stories involving magic orbs or cursed idols or whatnot, but my imagination is pretty limited.

Having said that, there should be nothing wrong with shipping pairings, right? A lot of romance stories (including my own, of course) are often immature, sappy, and implausible, but anything goes in fanfiction. It's a creative outlet, so it doesn't always have to be rational.

The following are pairings I like:

ShikaTema (Temari is my favorite character, so obviously I want her to have the best!)

Actually I wouldn't mind ShikaIno so much if it weren't for the fact that I'm such a Temari fangirl. There was this one time in 2008 (when I first started reading Naruto fanfics) when I stumbled upon this ShikaIno fic. It was about Ino going on a mission and Shikamaru missing her. And I was thinking 'Oh that's pretty cute," until I read a review that was basically like "Go ShikaIno! Die, Temari, you ugly/manly freak!" That's when I realized that the ShikaIno camp is, more often than not, a natural enemy of ShikaTema proponents.

NaruHina (I used to be way more into them before the timeskip, but now I'm not even sure if he deserves her)

KibaIno (They are so perfect for each other! Check out Jan Lee's stories for amazing KibaIno fics)

I wish there were more friendship/gen fics out there, I usually find them more inspirational than over-the-top romance fics. I highly recommend any of the stories in my Favorites section. Feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to recommend something.

On the other hand, I seriously think the series is going downhill. What happened to you, Kishi?! It's like you're not even trying anymore!

Nodame Cantabile

I wish people wrote more Nodame Cantabile fics since it's AMAZING! The author is honestly a character development genius (not a real thing, but whatever). I really, really wish there were more movies/fanfics about it.

A note about reviewing: If I like a certain fic, I'll probably leave a review. BUT, I am much less inclined to do so when the author sounds like a major douche, even if I like the story. Call it petty, but insulting your readers for not reviewing is kinda gross.
