As of 10/12/14: Don't trust anything I put on this profile, it never comes true. I honestly just update when I'm bored enough to update and as far as "26 Letters" goes I haven't thought of a good word for V yet. I'm not a planner.

...And yet I check this website every day...Actually, I may be one of the last people from the 2k3 wave that still posts. I mean I don't post often, but still. If you look at my favorite authors the majority are oldies. And you hardly ever see most of my favorite stories on rec lists nowadays; they're just buried in the archive. Like "Despair" by Purple Aussie, or "Drowning" by (I can't remember!!! SassyBlonde something, eeeek. But the summary was: "The battle was over. And they had lost."). THOSE FICS ARE DEVASTATING. DEVASTATING. So much so that I cannot reread them even now, at least 4 years later. And they're hardly ever rec'ed! I actually couldn't even bring myself to favorite "Drowning" because it gave me too many feels.

Fandom shifts man, they're serious business.

It's just so surreal that authors like Flynne and FantasiaWandering and Connie Nervegas are taking the place of people like Cynlee (turtle tot queen) and Splinter and lost-katana and so many other people that were just such huge presences. That's not to say that the former group is worse than the latter, not at all! I love their collective work. It's just that as someone who started trolling the archives in 2005, and officially joined in 2006, it's very very strange to see new top dogs. And what makes it even more odd is that some people on this website are like, who the frick are those people in the latter group, this IvoryDrum chick is cray. Or even better, who the frick is this IvoryDrum chick? Well, you know, I'm a nice lurker.

I'm not crazy. I'm just feeling my age, I guess.
