WELCOME TO MY 'VERSE:
My preferred TMNT universe is set on/around the events of the 2007 CGI film, and pulls backstory from a hodge-podge of verses such as the cartoon series produced in 2003, the original comics, and the first live action movie.

I do NOT write fics for or acknowledge any events from Old Toon, Archieverse, Imageverse, or 4th volume Mirageverse (though I might go ahead and be the umpteenth person to put Raph's eye out, just for the heck of it someday. Ha!). I have had some plot ideas for fics that would be set in the 'Fast Forward' cartoon's setting, but have not yet gone there.

I don't write 2014 movie verse. I do LIKE the new 2012 Nick cartoon. I think it's a well written show, but the tone is so silly and light-hearted, so don't expect me to write about them. The only thing I borrowed from the 2012 Nick toon was having Mike occasionally refer to Donatello as "D". Because, well, that's adorable.

ABOUT ME:
I'm Whitney, a thirty-something computer tech from Columbus, OH. I'm also a voracious reader, as well as a writer and an artist when the mood strikes me (my muse can be a fickle mistress). I've settled down a lot since my wild and crazy raver days. Now I have a brilliant toddler and a wonderful husband named Justin who is amazingly tolerant of my TMNT addiction.

My favorite turtle is Donatello, in case my frequent use of him in fanfics didn't make it obvious. But the truth is, there are things to love about ALL of the major characters. Each of the turtles are fun to write about and have a special place in my heart.

WHY DO ALL MY FICS DESERVE AN 'M FOR MATURE' RATING?

1) BECAUSE LANGUAGE.
All the turtles except for Leo drop the F-bomb and plenty of other colorful words that would get bleeped off prime time

2) BECAUSE DRUGS.
Mike's a pothead in my fics. Donatello has experimented with alien drugs that the family doesn't even know about. These aren't "after school special" plots, either.

4) BECAUSE OMFG TURTLE SCHLONGS.
Realistic turtle naughty bits. I like biology and did way too much research for 'The Talk'. There's a good chance you will squick at some of my descriptions. That's kind of the point.

5) BECAUSE ALL THE THINGS.
I just have a very strong preference for darker, racier, emotionally complex TMNT plots! I tend towards TMNT that is written FOR adults, BY adults. Or, you know... strikingly-mature-for-their-age teenagers? Let's go with 'adult mentality' so I don't sound completely age-ist here. Point is, I'd rather not get on a roll with something and suddenly have to stop, thinking "am I going overboard? Will I have to hitch up my rating with this part?" That's stupid. Let's all agree to go overboard, head first.
