Just a little ficlet I decided to write because there aren't enough Charlie/Patrick fanfics out there.

They were in the cafeteria and Brad called him that word. The word that he knew that Patrick hated above all others. For some reason Charlie was the only one he could talk to about what happened. Patrick didn't know why, but he knew that he needed Charlie.

Patrick comes back from college to visit Charlie for the long weekend. The two close friends spend the nights together reminiscing and looking ahead into the future with both excitement and angst. But the future was coming a lot swifter than anyone could have possibly predicted.
