Author has written 15 stories for Rugrats/All Grown Up!, Loud House, and Cartoon X-overs. Hello, Comrades, I'm Sovietlolliepop and welcome to my profile. I'm a grown man with a child's hart and a passion for writing fanfiction. Notice: Except for my own OCs, any official characters in the media are the copyrights of their original owners and no infringement is intended. Also, any OCs that aren't mine but are featured in my stories belong to their respective owners and are used with permission. Additional notes: I also have accounts on Archive of Our Own and Deviant Art under the same pen-name. Now with that out of way, let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in the western United States on July 4th, 1993. Yes I know a Fourth of July baby, Fireworks, barbeques, USA and all that. Personally, I don't really care about the holiday aspic of my birthday but then again I'm glad to have a birthday regardless. I have a hard time recalling everything that happened during my early Childhood but some of the things I can definitely remember were all the cartoons. For a while I was obsessed with Clifford the Big Red Dog but of course there were other shows I liked. Many of my other favorites were Hay Arnold!, Doug, Arthur, Cat Dog, early Spongebob and my current favorite, Rugrats. I couldn't recall the first Rugrats episode I ever saw because, as mentioned above, I was born in '93, but in that regard I could probably say it was with me since I came into the world. I even remember being able to relate to the main characters and their issues. As for what my favorite episode was in those times, I couldn't recall as I just loved to watch the show, although I do recall the scene in the episode "Chuckie Loses His Glasses" where Angelica vomited at the screen scaring me for some weird reason. Its funny because that episode is now my favorite and vomit scene makes me laugh. Anyway, eventually there came "Rugrats the Movie" which was a treat for me and my siblings. A few years later there was "Rugrats in Paris" and oh boy do I remember all the hype. One of the biggest things I recall from that time was the fact that it was in theaters and having to wait (we couldn't afford to go to the movies) for it to come out on VHS. Eventually though on I believe Christmas, my aunt had gotten us the tape which mean't we could watch it whenever we wanted. I even remember how the orange VHS tapes looked like. So life went on for me in both good ways and bad. Aside from the obvious good times such as watching cartoons and playing with my siblings there were a lot of bad memories to. For one, my dad insisted that we be home schooled and apparently wanted all of us kids to be geniuses because (and I make no exaggeration here) he wanted to teach us at a college level. Needless to say I now hate anything to do with school because of him. Aside from being obsessed with us being smarter than all the other kids my dad was also obsessed with having the house clean all the time. What made it so horrible all the time though was the fact that no matter how much we cleaned it was never, ever, good enough for him. For example, we'ed spend a hour cleaning the kitchen and once we were "done" he'd come in and say "this is no place near being done, you guys are gonna be working 'tell midnight." But one thing he did that I'll never forget was when a day when we were cleaning our room and he was being his typical self. He kept griping about the mess and in the mist of it all said "that's it! No more Rugrats for a mouth! Actually, no more Rugrats EVER!" I was shocked and saddened but my dad ruled over us with a fist of iron and there was nothing I could do but make do with the shows I was still allowed to watch. Several years went by and eventually, when I was eighteen, my parents divorced and I cut off all contact with my father and decided to stay with my mom, who I get along with just fine and who has helped me get through the last few years. I had long forgotten about Rugrats though until a couple of instantiates. One was my siblings bringing home a DVD containing Halloween themed Nicktoons which included the Rugrats episode "Curse of the Were-Wuff" and another when "Rugrats the Movie" was playing on TV. Here recently, I was surfing YouTube for the vomiting clip from "Chuckie Loses His Glasses" for some reason when I came across the Pilot episode, "Tommy Pickles and the Great White Thing" and found pleasant memories from my childhood coming back. Soon I would buy the first two seasons of Rugrats on iTunes as well as some Rugrats merchandise (I currently have a small collection, it isn't much yet but I'm hoping to add to it). As I started to get re-involved in Rugrats, I discovered my favorite character, the one, the only, the infamous Angelica C. Pickles. Why Angelica though and not Tommy or Chuckie? Is it because I dislike the other characters? Of course not! I love all the Rugrats' kids. Is it because I'm a selfish person who relates to her that way? That is certainly not the case ether. As for why Angelica is my favorite is probably because, in spite of her mean side, I fill that she is widely misunderstood by by the other characters and even other fans of the show. I mean lets look at her life, her parents (especially Charlotte) are very neglectful and often try to "buy her love" through means of material junk (especially Drew who also doesn't discipline her properly). She doesn't have any real friends (you could count Susie but even she is more of a rival most of the time). And even though she often goes on about how she likes being an only child (with a few exceptions) it seems to me that she is actually very lonely most of the time. Overall, while I don't relate to Angelica's mean and selfish side, I can relate to her in other ways. As stated above, I pretty much had a large part of my childhood lost (or stolen) and I think there's a part of her life missing to. For example, we see Charlotte go on about how Angelica is going to be future CEO of her corporation and probably has too many expectations for her. Plus how many times have we seen her parents try to push her in some sport (singing or dancing) only to have her fail and probably killing her self esteem. Overall, if she was a real person I'd fill sorry for her. Also, aside from what I just said above, I fill that in a weird way that Angelica resembles life, that is life is not something that's sweet and innocent but can be really nasty at times. But in spite of that though, Angelica has on many occasions done the right thing and has made people happy just as life can also bring many good things. In the end I love my little demon Angie. I'll even get a little angry when I see others say nasty stuff about her. So anyway, as for writing fan fiction, I first took an interest once the whole "SOPA Scare" died down and I started to get more involved in various fandoms. Of course the first fan story I started on was "Angelica's Adventure" and since then I've been posting several other stories. Outside of Rugrats I've also discovered a show called Mega Babies which is about a trio of super-infants named Meg, Derrick and Buck. While this show is no where near as good as Rugrats I've none the less found that I really enjoy it in spite of its flaws. Of coarse, Mega Babies is one of the single most disliked shows out there, which is totally understandable (though sometimes I think its a little over-hated). Ironically, it was through this negative reception that I discovered the show in the first place. Even as a fan, though, I can acknowledge the bad writing, bad character development and extreme grossout. However, given that I'm a fanfiction writer that gives me a lot of opportunities. In other words I can write my own Mega Babies stories in how I fill might've been "better" then the original show. And I have. With the exception of "Megarats" (see below) most of my Mega Babies related stories are on Archive of Our Own however, I'm contemplating whether or not I should also post them here under "miscellaneous." I want to let readers know to that even if you don't share the same interest as me or out right hate what I like, that's fine. I'll respect your opinions as long as you respect mine. Also, in regards to critiques, I'm open to constructive criticism as I believe that it is important to help one improve on their work. The only thing I ask of from would be critics is to please be polite when giving your opinion. If you are rude, abrasive or outright abusive I will have no choice but to either block you or, if you're a "guest user," remove your comments. Of course, any trolls will be blocked or have their comments removed by default. Original Characters Here's a list of my OCs that are featured in my stories so far. Note on usage of my OCs, they are royalty free so fill welcome to us them. Credit would be nice though. :) Anthony Collins Anthony is Angelica Pickles' cousin from Charlotte's side of the family. He is about Five years old in "Angelica's Adventure" and other fics where the Rugrats are toddlers and is Nineteen in "The Pregnancy." He is the son of William Collins, Charlotte's older brother. Anthony has an obsessive hatred towards Angelica (For reasons why you'll have to read "Angelica's Adventure") which never dies. Also in All Grown Up he joins a Neo-Nazi movement. Uh Oh... Physically Anthony looks like a male version of Angelica but with buzzed hair and a big pink scar on his right cheek. His outfit features a white shirt with red on the neck collar, sort sleeved cuffs and bottom lining as well as two red strips on the chest. For pants he typically wears jeans and his shoes are white with red laces. In AGU he wears a similar outfit but with a black jacket with a silver swastika pin on the right collar. He also has his temples shaved revealing a small swastika on his left temple. Zoey Anderson Zoey is Angelica's best friend who she meets in "Angelica's Adventure." Zoey is three years old in "Angelica's Adventure" and seventeen years old in "The Pregnancy." Her father is Bruce Anderson who is also a cruise ship captain. Zoey like Angelica loves her sweets but unlike the blond is much nicer. Physically Zoey looks like a fairly typical Rugrats female character. Her face very loosely resembles Angelica's. She has brown hare tied into pigtails which look different than Angelica's. Her outfit consists of a blue and black striped tank top and a white, blue spotted skirt. Her shoes are white with blue laces. In AGU she wears a blue and white tank top with some cleavage along with a pair of jeans. Also her hair is down and wavy. Beatrice McNulty-Pickles Beatrice is the daughter of Angelica and Timmy. Note: this is NOT the baby from "The Pregnancy"; Beatrice is born several years later after Angie and Timmy tie the knot. Unlike her mother, when she was young, Beatrice is very nice and intelligent. She also tends to be hyperactive and adventurous (in fact, she may have ADHD). In spite of that, she always means well and will always stand up for her family and friends. Physically Beatrice inherited from both her mom and dad. She has light red hair, usually tied in two pigtails. Her outfit includes a blue shirt with orange lining and a purple heart on the chest. She also wears a purple and blue spotted skirt. Her nickname is "Bee." Works In Progress The Pregnancy Eighteen year old Angelica Pickles is pregnant with Timmy McNulty's child and that's just the tip of the iceberg. From her estranged mother, Charlotte's, awkward return in her life to her evil cousin, Anthony, getting involved in a Neo-Nazi movement as well as much more, will she find support from family and friends? Megarats A crossover between Rugrats and Mega Babies. After Mega Babies' attempt to save their city ends in disaster, they are now scorned by the population and decide to run away to find their place. It just so happens that this place turns out to be the town where the Rugrats reside. Lots of fun and chaos ensue. But behind it all there's also an evil politician (whom the Mega Babies unintentionally humiliated) who's out to frame them for something terrible. What's gonna happen? Planned Stories Portland, Oregon Drew Pickles is on a business trip the the City of Roses itself and decides to take his daughter, Angelica Pickles, along with her friend, Zoey Anderson, with him. Of course the two young girls are excited but neither of them anticipated the long and boring drive. Will the little girls make it? Idea given to me by Celrock. Dentists Are Bad News! Takes place before the events of "The Ransom of Cynthia." Charlotte Pickles takes her daughter, Angelica Pickles to the dentist where it's confirmed that the young girl has cavities. Idea given to me by Celrock. The Story of Boris Tommy Pickles' maternal grandfather, Boris, tells the kids about his experiences growing up in "the Old Country" (i.e. the Soviet Union). From growing up in a famine stricken Ukraine to evading Stalin's Purges to fighting Nazis and eventually meeting Minka. Angelica's Regressed Birthday Essentially a "remake" of "Angelica's Birthday" now featuring Kimi, Dil and probably a few OCs as well. Events will be somewhat different then the actual episode. Takes place before and corresponds with "Angelica's Adventure." The Old Country Experience Boris and Minka invite Stu, Didi, Tommy, Dil, and even Angelica Pickles to go with them to visit Russia, the "Old Country." Building A Relationship, The Story of Angelica and Timmy Inspired by Celrock's story, "Zack and Kimi's Christmas Collage." Basically my story will show how Angelica Pickles and Timmy McNulty build their relationship. From their childhood through their eventual marriage. Other Future Plans While I don't have any specific plans for this yet, I'm also planning on writing a "new-generation" kind of series that will feature the Rugrats as adults and their kinds, including Beatrice (see above). |
