I'm a Jesus freak, Tolkien geek, and beleaguered college sophomore with a passionate adulation of the English language. I've been writing original fiction most of my life, but only this summer did I start trying my hand at fanfiction, after reading it obsessively for some time. I'm currently trying to resist the urge to follow my usual vein of writing excessively long online bios.

I tend to be quite moody, rather prone to insomnia and tragic angst (which you will see come out in my fics; not to mention I seem to have a talent for writing dark and angsty fic even when I'm in an extremely cheery mood), a hopeless romantic (I often hate cheesiness, but can sometimes get quite sappy, so I rely on you to help me keep a balance in any romantic writing endeavors), empathetic (hence, propensity for tragic angst), introverted, artsy, quirky, enthusiastic, shy, fiercely defensive of my values—which usually involve either something that's a moral issue for me (because my biggest life goal is listening to and following Jesus) or my opinions on certain pieces of literature/rules of grammar (I will defend the Oxford comma until Ragnarök). I'd really like to expand my fiction writing into more witty-humor, because I'm decent at making people laugh in reality, but that's so far been slow going. Other writing-related interests include extravagant words, vowel mutation (umlauts, accent marks, the works), and parenthetical asides.

When writing fanfiction, I try to stick to canon (okay, I can be an obsessive canon purist. I warn you, if you ever see a movie adaption of a beloved book with me, I will talk through the whole thing), and you will be given advance notice of any descent into the underworld of AU. I always have several works in progress, and not all of them are fanfiction, so updates/new stories may be rather sporadic. So, all that to say—I hope you enjoy my fics!
