AslansWatchman chapter 10 . 12/14/2019
Brilliantly written. You write in the vein of Lewis it's uncanny. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book, from chapter one were they have to fend for themselves, find food, fight off the sea serpent (shadow of things to come!) bind the people to Narnia, helping the dwarves, the Centaurs, the trees to the final chapters riding Narnia of bandits to re-establishing relations with Archenland. All in all stellar!
This was one of the first ones I came across in my search for other fanfics to read while writing my own fanfic (still writing it though it's my big one, but have written several other one shots and many others ideas keep popping into my head), it's set post LB and it's a tough one.
Raven Wenner chapter 1 . 7/26/2018
This whole book is stylistically sophisticated, faithful to the tone of the original Narnia books, and stunningly good.
This retired English teacher recommends it to all and sundry.
It is a tour-de-force evocation of the "letter and spirit" of Lewis's style.
Guest chapter 10 . 7/26/2018
This book is entirely worthy of being read as part of Lewis' Chronicles. It is well plotted, paced, and the diction is pitch-perfect. I intended to read only one chapter, but it was such a page-turner I didn't stop until I finished it in the wee hours. WELL DONE: 5 stars !
Unidentified chapter 1 . 4/24/2018
Nicely done. It's been a while since I read the Chronicles of Narnia, but I quite like what I see here.

Again, thank you so much for writing this beautiful work. It brings such a wonderful fulfillment to the series, and is just a pleasure to read.
MelodySong231 chapter 4 . 4/9/2018
I love this work so much. I keep coming back and rereading it. Such a wonderful 'We Won the War, Now What?' Fic that takes into account the realism of four kids ruling a foreign country. Just marvellous.

...Oh! This was wonderful! :)
september ninth chapter 10 . 9/27/2016
Easily the best Narnia fanfiction ever, seriously, this was extraordinary. I didn't even think about the aftermaths of the White Witch's reign, and the way you brought up how odd it was that the Beavers and Tumnus had all those supplies and didn't starve during a 100 year winter... all the pure, good Narnians are dead indeed. In hindsight, the White Witch's winter seems a lot more horrifying.

Your theory that the Narnians who are brilliant at strategy and battle served in the White Witch's army was genius too, I never would have come to that conclusion on my own; but it makes so much fucking sense, since Aslan only started to appear after the Pevensies tumbled through the wardrobe.

I love your worldbuilding, how you showed the four siblings growing into their roles as kings and queens, and just... everything. I do hope Rhea gets knighted, she was a favorite character of mine. Fraxinus and Bindle were also deeply complicated and sympathetic characters, and I'm so freaking glad I came across your story, it's so deep and realistic.

It's brilliant how the Pevensies united the scattered Narnians, offered mercy to their former enemies and hammered out treaties and whatnot within the first few weeks of their reign. They're so young, it's remarkable; small wonder Aslan chose them to defeat Jadis and rule Narnia, and small wonder that their reign was called the Golden Age of Narnia. If I was in their position you bet your ass I'd be freaking out, not thinking about the seasonal differences between Narnia and the rest of the countries, the economy, putting down rebels, etc.

And the siblings were all so much in character! I can see the great kings and queens they'd become in their young selves, but really, they're such genii, just look at Edmund cleverly using "Rebels" to create a common enemy and being all inspired by Lucy. Look at Peter, making difficult choices with all the poise and severity of a king. Look at Susan, taking on the jobs no one wants to do but must be done, like making lists and getting everything settled in. Look at Lucy, inspiring trust and hope and cutting straight to the heart of things.

You're absolutely right, there was a reason Aslan chose the four siblings, and their coronation wasn't a reward; it's a challenge.

Thank you for the mindblowing story, I know I'm going to reread it over and over again.

Beautiful, incredible job. I love so much how you captured the danger and adventure of Narnia without taking away from its magic and wild loveliness, and how you thought everything through.
Excellently done.
Whyhow chapter 10 . 8/24/2015
This is very good and seems like a plausible idea about what might happen next. I particularly like your thoughts on the seasons having to resynchronize with the outside world.
Whyhow chapter 5 . 8/23/2015
The one bit of this that I predicted perfectly is that the Centaurs would need coal from the Dwarfs if they couldn't take as much wood.
Nokia chapter 9 . 8/6/2014
This is so well-written and wonderful. A little bit sexist, though - not your story; just Archenland politics and the way the heir apparent has to be male even if a woman would be more qualified (such as by being a number of years older). That's annoying but it's probably the way things were in Archenland then.

I'm truly interested!

AUTHOR NOTE:

Folks, FFN has screwed up the formatting for this story, including dropping words/lines, and I do not have the time to go through and repost every chapter. If you want to read it properly as it was written, please go here instead: /series/4249
Chris Phoenix chapter 5 . 7/13/2014
There are at least a dozen places in this chapter where words are missing. Please proofread and fix - it's kind of frustrating to skip from Peter walking in the water to Peter being held by the giant, without knowing how it happened!
