January 2017:

Hello, all. First of all, I’m sorry. I’ve been away from FF for a long time, and I know there’s at least a few of you out there that wondered what became of me. I didn’t die, or have a terrible accident or anything—I just lost the will to write. I don’t want to say “writers block” because that implies I was trying to write and failed, which isn’t the case. I just came to hate the sight of an empty document so much that I stopped opening them. There were months and months at a time when I didn’t even touch my stories, then I’d open them, write a few words, then look at them and think, “This is terrible, why am I doing this?” and quit.

Which leads me to this: THANK YOU. Every person who reviews, who says, “Thank you! I enjoyed reading!” or “Are you ever going to finish this?” YOU. You keep me from completely giving up. You remind me that, hey, these things I’ve created are worthwhile. That even on the days when I think everything I’ve ever written is crap, there are people out there who would argue with me if I said that to them. And that is a wonderful thing to know. Thank you so much.

In-Progress Story Statuses:

Dragon's Blood Rewrite: I'm not currently working on this, but I have no intention of abandoning it. It will eventually be finished. However, it will likely be a long wait.

Nothing Left Series: I will likely never write the fourth installment in this series. Consider it complete as-is.

NWIHP series: Suspension of Disbelief is abandoned. However, the Not What I Had Planned rewrite (the working title of which is Detour) is the only story that I'm regularly working on at the moment. That being said, progress is very slow (hopefully it will speed up as I get used to writing again), and it will be months, if not years, before it is complete. I will not post it until it is complete to avoid leaving you hanging again if I lose motivation before finishing (I'm 35,000 words in and only about 1/4 of the way through, to give you a point of reference). Message me and I'd be happy to send you a teaser, though! I'm pretty excited to be writing again. :)
