Author has written 9 stories for American Dragon: Jake Long, 9, Avatar: Last Airbender, Shrek, Frozen, Undertale, Pokémon, and Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart. My DeviantArt Account: metellastella. deviantart. com/ I'm always simply up to my eyeballs in ideas for Undertale, Avatar: the Last Airbender, 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Steven Universe. I am still mourning Young Justice. I was bowled over by Over the Garden Wall. I draw lots of Pokemon, too! :3 I also really like it when people come to look at my stuff other than my fanart. The second account is for photography. brunettemenolly .deviantart. com Current obsessions: Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, The Dragon Prince. I'm kind of lukewarm on She-Ra, Beastars, and the current TMNT series, but maybe that will change. (She-Ra OTP is Catra/Double Trouble, or as it should be called, CopyCat) I heard about this site from a friend, and I'm amazed! This is better in some ways than reading books- here you can talk to the authors directly and get into the story writer's head! I love writing (and receiving) plenty of detailed reviews, and getting answers back! ABOUT ME :) Well, you can't really fit me in a nutshell, not by a long shot, but I'll have to try and fit myself in this little bio. As evidenced by my reading selection, I watch cartoons. I'm a little bit of a Disney nut (Treasure Planet or The Incredibles, anyone??) Yes, I like PG-rated. Doesn't mean I can't handle mature stuff (House M.D., Breaking Bad)- just means I enjoy the PG stuff more. A large chunk of me has to be animals. I'm an undergraduate, and I love any type of life science (though physical science is fun, too) but especially ecological biology. I didn't have a lot pets when I was young, but when I got a rabbit at around age 10 I discovered I loved observing them- I also got involved with Pokemon, made up animals. Still trying to loosen those ties, lolz. Worldbuilding is a lot easier for other fandoms. It's funny, my family adopted a cat, and if you have ever had a cat, you know that one cat always leads to another- no, not in the breeding sense-get them neutered! *sigh* too many homeless animals, 27 million of them in fact . . . you can go to to help too. seriously- go and click the "Click to Give" button- and watch what happens-it's awesome. As a vegetarian, I advocate people not to get dogs or cats as pets. There are plenty of rescues with rabbits and pet pigs, if you look. But, if you really do want a dog, they can live healthfully on a vegetarian diet. Google it!!! Also, try to look up "TNR" programs in your area, which means Trap, Neuter, Release, for cats. They are not euthanized, merely sterilized and let go to live their own lives freely. If you don't have one, see if you can start one! And why not think about getting some chickens? They can give you eggs that aren't factory farmed. Although science is my favorite thing, I like most any other "fuzzy" studies as well. I've always loved school and learning, and I'm sad when others seem to think of it as primarily just "work" or "boring." To me, it's more "entertaining" than most of the so-called "entertainment" slop that's peddled to us. If possible I want to remain a college student in perpetuity- i.e., take a class or two all the time, perhaps an audit class if I can't manage that, while working just part time in the medical field, and gardening, volunteering and doing art with any remaining time. I'm not especially motivated by money and chaining myself to a career that is going to eat my life. At least right now at 29, I think I probably will never get married either, though that's for an entirely different reason. ;) Moving along in the dissection, segment three is music. I like music, almost any kind you can think of, except rap and country. (Okay, so good lyrics can rescue those for me, too.) Hip hop is good, though. Someone once asked me why I don't buy a lot of music- I responded that I like making music better- I sing and play clarinet, saxophone (which aren't that different), piano, and a little bit of accordion and guitar. Oh, and handbells. Glorious, glorious things those are. And similar to my taste in writing, I like music that has meaningful lyrics, i.e., I don't like listening to hackneyed stuff . . . of course instrumental music can have a lot more complexity than lyric music-so to me the lyric music has to make up the difference with its lyrics. (the other reason I like instrumental music is it lets you interpret the "lyrics," paint your own story into the music, if you will). I'm really sorry I've left "What Meets the Eye" hanging. I have a lot of chapters half-written for it. My computer was essentially tazed by lightning, and I'm hoping I can get the files extracted, because I know that all that's wrong with it is the motherboard, not the hard drive. My ideas come in these weird out of order spurts that I have to struggle to get arranged correctly and string together. I have a lot going on, and I've got this Undertale fic that's really coming to me fast, so, a lot to handle. Actually, I'm working on adapting many parts into an original novel. I'm about ready to send it to a publisher. I've also been surprised by the sheer, far-ranging depth that Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart has inspired in me. What started out as a fluff fic has become a political and psychological drama. Post Scriptum: For anyone wondering, my nom de plume is my Latin name, given to me by my Praceptor (Professor). Reading the Aeneid in Latin is astounding. Vergil puts to shame all except the very best English poets. If you'd like to see some of my poetry, PM me. |
