I am...a spastic, happy-go-lucky, idealistic, off-the-wall, and utterly strange person. In essence, I am a dreamer. I collect just about everything fairy--prints, figurines, calendars--and my favorite fantasy artist is Nene Thomas. Art is actually a huge part of my life. At the moment, my favorite contemporary artist is Squeak Carnwath, while my favorite classical artist has been, and always will be, Leonardo Da Vinci. Besides writing, I enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time, as well as music. I was in choir for eight years, and in an a cappella group in college, and though I'm out of practice, I still enjoy singing immensely. I also enjoy reading and cooking.
Sherlock Holmes is most definitely my favorite male character from this show. I mean, really--handsome, witty, with a razor sharp intellect, but somehow still a bit damaged? I can't help but want to dig into him and figure out what makes him tick, because I'm certain a lot of what he says about himself is just part of his protective shell. I also really, REALLY love Molly Hooper. She's such an interesting character, who in a lot of ways, mirrors the character of John Watson. Seemingly ordinary, but look at what she does (Pathologist). Lovely and girlish and feminine and sweet, she seems like someone who is easily duped and easily broken. And in a way she was, considering she dated 'Jim from IT', but in the end, she dumped him. She's the kind of woman I love--strong and firm internally, but always sweet and always, always kind and lovable. I think I could spend forever just hugging her. And what's GREAT about both of these characters is that they have room to grow! For Sherlock, it's remembering what feelings are, and why they're important. For Molly, it's a bit more drastic I think--how to go from girl to woman. And the even GREATER thing is that Sherlock has given Molly the catalyst to make that change in herself, and in turning to her, Sherlock has subconsciously made Molly his catalyst! (Is it obvious that I ship them yet? Yes? Okay.) In the RuroKen fandom, it's always been Kaoru for me. She's a great character, and one of few female anime characters that can fight, and is realistic while doing it. She's down-to-earth and sweet, and I just love her to pieces, 'nuff said. In Cardcaptor Sakura, Sakura takes the cake, hands down, as my favorite. She's just so darn cute! And so purehearted--the girl doesn't have a bad bone in her body. Love her, love her, love her.
