Author has written 11 stories for Sailor Moon. "I want a hero: an uncommon want, "I would to heaven that I were so much clay, Lord Byron, Canto I & Fragment from Don Juan About Me: A graduate of the PhD program in Inorganic Chemistry at Univ. of Georgia Manga on my shelf right now: Yu Watase (Imadoki, Alice 19th), Planet Ladder, Hands Off, Angel Sanctuary (absolutely love this series!) (4 September 2010) Er... It's been a while x.x I'm still alive, that's for sure. And I'm still writing (YAY!). I will be posting my 35 drabbles from the Usako_Mamoru community 2010 Anniversary Challenge. I will post 5 per week for a total of 7 weeks (don't you love math? =D) I will also look to posting the Christmas collaboration between Alicia Blade, KaitlynFall, and me last Christmas. Kaitlyn and I have talked about doing something similar this year, so stay tuned for that! (After NaNo, ofc.) (11 September 2007) Sneaking away from work just long enough to post a bit. Let's see, still working on my publication. Now I've added to the list: a seminar at SERMACS (a regional chemistry convention), my literature seminar (basically, a mini thesis + oral presentation), a poster of my research for a competition, weekly grading for labs, and wedding planning. If anyone knows a good bridesmaid designer pass me a note! I can't find any styles that really interest me x.x But I've been thinking about cranking out my Crystal Tokyo fic. It's been sitting in my mind for forever and it's about time to get it out. I want to make it have more action than Absolution. I never realised how slow the beginning of that story was until I was posting one chapter a week =P And maybe post a few drabbles along the way. But after I get all this work done XD (20 July 2007) Hmm... still alive =P I've been slaving at the lab and it's finally paid off b/c I'm writing my first publication! Unfortunately that means I'm writing that instead of any stories... although lately I've been revising my own stories instead of the publication. ./sigh. When the advisor's away, the grad students will play =P Check out Absolution. It's new and different and fun =D (16 February 2007) I'm alive! I just thought I'd let everyone know I'm still around even though the drabbles have become basically nil =P The good news, however, is that I am nearly finished with a rather long story I've been working on for about a year (mentioned in the post from June 06.) I'm on the last chapter then have a major editting overhaul and then it will be fit for posting . If you look on LJ the raw chapters are there under "idea#1" tags. Yeah... it doesn't have a title yet XD I just thought of "Absolution" today and I think that's what I'm staying with =) YAY! (7 June 2006) Wow, it's been awhile since I've had anything to say... Has it really been since last year that I wrote a drabble? Damn, I feel lazy =P Sorry, this last semester kicked my butt quite literally. However, good news is that I have a long story in the works (and it's not even one of the ones listed here!) So, hopefully I'll be finishing that up in the coming weeks and getting back to drabbles and maybe posting an old story or two. Although, I'm feeling less inclined to play with my old stories... they're so different than my writing style now and need so much work that I don't really feel the need to correct them =T They need some massive overhauling (or basically, rewriting.) A better place to keep up with updates from me is at my LJ. You don't have to sign up to view other ppl's LJs, so no worries =) I don't even think you need a login to leave a note. Oh, right, I want to thank everyone who contributed to the 100+ reviews on my drabbles! I'll be sure to make a comment about the devotion when the next set is ready. Thanks to all! (12 Nov 2005) Okay, so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for shelling out a bunch of drabbles this week. I checked it out and I'm passed 25! Woohoo! Only 75 more to go... Maybe I'll celebrate more when I get passed 50. Anyway, I corrected "76: Family" if any one even notices. Also, I realised after the fact, I got excited and posted all my drabbles without any secondary editing (to me, this means I upload it, then read it again to make sure the formatting and sentences make sense.) So any errors are totally my fault. Otherwise, I have some sneak peaks of other things up on my livejournal (my homepage link) if y'all are interested in that. (25 Oct 2005) Well, there's two for the show. I wrote a few more and they're on my LJ (link in posting below) which you can get to w/o being a member (goodness!) So, check that out and let me know what you think. The few that are up there may get posted sometime if I don't think of something better for the theme. Well, if nothing gets written tomorrow, then consider this weekend bogus and I'll have to come out with more the following weekend. Oh well. I tried; at least I got most of my grading done. (22 Oct 2005) AWESOMENESS! I finally cheated in MS Word and found a way to make it reformat Walk with Me and Fairytale for me! So, those two are nice and readable now (definately a plus!) Also, I put up this weekend's set of drabbles. There's a beta on my LJ b/c I like but don't know about the theme. Go check it out if you like. I might post another weird fic that's floating around. Anyway, they're be more out by the middle of the week since I'm off to Oregon for an extended weekend! (8 Oct 2005) Look at me posting within the week! Anyway, I've been pulled into this stream of 100 Themed fic-lets lately. It was my choice entirely, and I'm actually excited about the prospects. I got 5 done today and if I sat at my PC any longer I'd probably have more by the end of the day. Anyway, reviews for these would be nice as I like them very much (the fic-lets, though I enjoy reviews, too) and they've become my babies for the moment. =) Here's the links to the information about this challenge: LJ Community: http:///community/usako_mamoru/ (1 Oct 2005) Well, little to no responce for Flight 295 makes me itchy to put out another oldie, but I want to really go through Gift with a fine tooth comb. I'd like the end to be a little more realistic, though all my readings of it have never proven me with the ability to do so. Oh well, 100th time's the charm, eh =) Typing of the Case Study is coming along, please let me know if you're interested in beta-reading it! (Some indefinate time prior to 1 Oct 2005) Grad school has been crazy. Sorry I've become delinquent, not that anyone really notices. I'm hoping to do some editing to get one of the old stories out, and then continue working on my case study. I'm really excited about it, but it's LONG! Maybe I should get something else out in the meantime... Yeah right, like I don't have enough to do =P Look how crazy I am trying to actually write down some sort of posting schedule for myself. Yes, there's been new stuff in the works... for some reason this summer is proving a very creative one. I have at least 3 stories I plan on completing by this summer. Since I've learned to actually outline important points and elements of stories now (like actually writing them out, I mean... so I won't forget them later x.x), I think I might do better at actually finishing them. And if not, perhaps I can work some time into my graduate school schedule and come out with something... after all, I can't sit around and proctor exams without something to keep me busy, eh? Most of the stories being posted are years old, written from middle school to high school and revised just slightly. I'm only putting my best ones here because ... well, honestly, I don't think I write that well (not actually being any kind of literary person but actually a chemistry major,) and haven't written in a very long time. Maybe one of these days when I get time and interest in doing so... but life never makes things that easy =) If you're checking out my favourites and wonder why they're not all Sailor Moon, go to the author's homepages b/c I swear they do write it! Most of the authors are older and are from when I started reading/writing SM fanfiction nearly 7-8 yrs. ago. (Geez, I feel old.) If someone has some tips on formatting that'd be great... I guess I'm still an oldie using .txt files and such... In the works (aka, goal: to be completed in this lifetime... maybe): Revolt/Rose and Lily(multiple chapters; Romance, Angst; Silver Mill.) - Haven't quite decided on the title, but here's a summary: A prophecy frightens the Moon into overtaking the Earth, enslaving its people and killing the royal family, however Endy survives. Endy and Sere share a strong bond that could destroy his kingdom.-- I'm not sure how I feel about this plotline anymore. =T Case-Study(epic; 3 "parts", multiple chapters; A Little Romance, Angst, Suspence; R Season, basically) - Just what it sounds like-- A random case study on how the future would be w/o Sere or Wiseman. Focused on how different in personality Small Lady & Endy would be, as well as how the Dark Moon and Nemesis piece of SM would be different. Combining a lot of the manga & anime plotlines.(my concentration at the moment; first part finished! YAY!) Losing Your Memory(multiple chapters; Pure Romance & WAFF, though Angsty; AU) - Usagi & Mamoru grew up as neighbours, but a freak accident at 15 left Mamoru without his memories. Typical best friend in love (Mamoru w/Usagi), but other friend oblivious. Usagi's married w/ChibiUsa & hasn't really seen Mamoru in years but one insane night will throw them all together again, for better or worse.-- Lost interest in this plotline as well =P |
