After Fred's death, he turns into a Hogwarts ghost along with Dumbledore. Although he likes being able to interact with Ginny and Ron, it's not the same as physically being there with them. Luckily, Dumbledore is there to help.

I like the idea of them being partners in Potions the day they make and use love potions, but it doesn't work because they're already in love.
